LEGO LEGOLAND Castle (40306) Revealed

LEGO LEGOLAND Castle (40306)

For those who live near LEGOLAND, there’s an exclusive LEGO set that may be coming out soon that you may be interested in. Brickset has uploaded an image of the LEGOLAND Castle (40306) which features a model that is probably based on the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. Ollie also makes an appearance as it pokes out on one side of the building. The set has 220 pieces and will most likely retail for $9.99 at the shops at LEGOLAND parks at the beginning of the year. It most likely won’t be available on Shop@Home but some LEGO Brand Stores that are near a park like in San Diego may carry it.

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253)

We’re at the start of the last week for the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) and today’s build is something that is very symbolic to the holidays. For Day 17, we get a simple Advent wreath thats uses some new parts that we haven’t used in this set before including the 4×4 lime green round plate and the yellow teeth pieces for the candle flames.

LEGO Ideas The Lego Christmas Story House Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Lego Christmas Story House by twrt0es is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Just in time for the holidays, the project is based on the classic comedy film, A Christmas Movie and there are things implemented into the project to show that. The house has a modular design where you can remove the roof and the second floor to access the areas of the house.

The Lego Christmas Story House now joins the Pop-Up Book, Boat House Diner, The Lighthouse, Jaguar E-Type Roadster, The Dive Shop, and RuPaul’s Brick Race as the projects to reach the Third 2017 Review Stage.

LEGO Ninjago 2018 Pods Official Images

LEGO Ninjago Jay's Dojo Pod (853758)

Yesterday, I first reported on the new LEGO Ninjago Pods that are showing up at LEGOLAND California. Today, LEGO themselves has uploaded the official images of Jay’s Dojo Pod (853758) and Cole’s Dojo Pod (853759) to their servers which means that we’ll most likely see them available on Shop@Home in a few weeks. The pods are selling at LEGOLAND for $8.99 each so they’ll probably be at the same price on Shop@Home and at stores.

Like with Kai’s Dojo Pod (5004916), the front sticker is lenticular showing the Jay and Cole’s faces as well as their element while the inside has an armor rack with the kendo masks and their respective weapons as well as the minifigures with a new training outfit.

LEGO Seasonal Nutcracker 2017 Employee Gift (4002017) Revealed

LEGO Seasonal 2017 Employee Gift (4002017)

Every year if you’re a LEGO employee, whether at The LEGO Group or LEGO Brand Stores, the company gives an exclusive set as a holiday gift. For 2017 being the 40th anniversary of the LEGO Technic theme, this year’s Nutcracker Employee Gift (4002017) has a feature that incorporates that into the build. According to the building instructions, there’s a lever on the back of the Nutcracker to make the arms and mouth move however, it most likely will not be able to crack actual nuts.

If you’re looking to pick up one, there are plenty of sets that are listed on eBay at not so cheap prices. I would suggest waiting a year or two for the prices to drop down just a little but expect to still shell out at least $150 on it.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

I know this set has been shown off on social media but I wanted to wait a little longer to post it because some employees, who may be readers, may not have received their sets yet and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for them.

Two Weeks Left to Get LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon for Black VIP Card

There are about two weeks left in the year and for those who are still trying to get the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192), here are some tips for you to potentially get one to get the exclusive Black VIP Card before the end of 2017.

Shop@Home is pretty much out of the question as there has been very low quantities on-hand online for a short period of time. Your best chance to get one is if you live close to a LEGO Brand Store. Either call or visit them and check if their waiting list for the Falcon is close to being done. I’ve have a few reports from readers that say their stores (Palisades Mall for one) have completed their lists and the Falcons are now on a first-come, first-served basis. If they do have some in stock, ask if they can put it on hold and you can hop over there to pick it up. If not, check when their next shipments are and it’s possible there may be some on the trucks. Also you can ask to be put on the waiting list if the stores are still doing them for the next ones that come in.

It’s unfortunate that the Black LEGO VIP Card is only available with a purchase of the UCS Millennium Falcon because there was so much demand and very little quantities for fans, there’s no way that it will pass the reported 30,000 number of cards that are available. Hopefully LEGO will extend the promotion … Continue
