Star Wars Force Friday 2016 Returns in September

It appears Force Friday will be a yearly thing as Star Wars: Rogue One will have its own event and there are reports that it is planned for September 30 for this year. The event again will be connected to the upcoming movie being released in December although the date of the event has been pushed back a little from last year’s date.

We already know there will be five LEGO Star Wars sets based on the movie with set numbers:

We also know there will be three Star Wars Buildable Figures with the set numbers:

We’ll most likely see official images of the sets at the Force Friday launch date similar to last year with very heavy embargo rules.

LEGO Nexo Knights Shield Dock Building Instructions

A loyal reader named Jason has emailed me the instructions for today’s Toys R Us building event for the LEGO Nexo Knights Shield Dock. To create your own, most of the pieces are already available except for blank trans-blue shield piece and the new Nexo Power sticker. From what I’m hearing, the set is somewhat flimsy after it is built as stuff just gets easily knocked off here and there. The event also included some other items including a poster and some LEGO Nexo Knights trading cards. Of course, it’s also available on eBay if you want.

TRU Canada will have the event next Saturday, February 27 from 12-2pm.

LEGO Dimensions Wave 4 Fun Packs 50% Off on Amazon

LEGO April 2016 Store Calendar Promotions & Events

The April 2016 LEGO Store Calendar is now available and there are some cool things happening for the month.

April 1-15: Finally confirmed is the FREE LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Mr. Freeze (30603) minifigure polybag with purchases of $75 or more at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. If you’re planning on picking up the Batman: Classic TV Series Batcave (76052), your decision now is to wait for Double VIP points in March or for the Mr. Freeze polybag in April.

April 25-May 8: You can get a FREE LEGO Elves Sira’s Adventurous Airglider (30375) polybag with purchases of $35 or more on Friends, Elves, and Disney Princess sets.

April 5-6: The VIP Monthly Mini Build will be a Bumblebee.

April 11-15: There will be a LEGO Maze Competition at 5pm using the LEGO Ideas Maze (21305). Here we can also get a good look at the set which should be announced very shortly, probably at LEGO World Copenhagen.

April 18: LEGO Brand Stores will have a Minifigure Swap day.

LEGO ReBrick Relaunching March 1

If you’ve ever been on ReBrick, you may feel that it might not be the most effective bookmarking website for fans. Initially, it was a place for fans to share creations and unfortunately, it didn’t work out as planned with various issues hampering the user experience.

LEGO has been at work to do a relaunch on the site on March 1st. They have shared a short video of how ReBrick will work. It’ll still focus on fan creations but will also have more contests for you to enter to win hard to find sets, signed sets, or trips.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Mr. Freeze (30603) Rumored as April 2016 Promo

There has been some worry on whether or not we’ll be getting the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Mr. Freeze (30603) minifigure polybag which was first seen last week at the New York Toy Fair. As of this time, it was only given out to special attendees to the event and some people were speculating that it was only exclusive to that event.

I’ve just received an anonymous email from someone who states they work at a LEGO Store saying that it’ll be widely available as a LEGO promotion in April with purchases of a certain threshold. I went around to check to confirm this and surely enough, Just2Good over on Eurobricks has also stated this and he also added with a purchase of $75.

Until the April 2016 Store Calendar is available, we won’t know for sure but keep in mind that J2G usually doesn’t let us down with his reports. We’ll know for sure if we’ll actually be getting the classic Mr. Freeze polybag when the calendar is released in a few weeks.

Update: It has been confirmed on the April 2016 Store Calendar that it will be part of a promotion.

LEGO Star Wars Resistance Trooper Battle Pack (75131) Review

At the beginning of the year, LEGO released some new LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs including the Resistance Trooper Battle Pack (75131). This particular one consists of 112 pieces and retailed for the usual $12.99 price point. The contents of the box include two un-numbered bags and the instructions.
