LEGO Retiring Soon Direct-to-Consumer Sets

As I mentioned earlier today, the LEGO Double VIP Points promotion is now going on at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. I’ve been told by a pretty reliable source that a variety of direct-to-consumer LEGO sets are now retiring soon even though they’re not listed online. If you’ve been holding off on some of these sets, now would be a perfect time to jump on them since we exactly know when they will be going away. This is only a partial list as there could be more D2C sets that perhaps are listed as retiring soon as well.

The most notable one is the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Batcave (76052) because it’s actually on sale as well for $215.99 ($54 off).

August 10-31: Free exclusive Caveman & Cavewoman minifigures (5004936) with a purchase of $50 or more.

August 20-31: Free Build to Learn Pack with a purchase of $25 or more.

August 1-6 & 14-20: Sign up for the LEGO Boost workshops.

August 8-9: Free VIP Monthly Mini Model build will be a Fish. Registration starts on July 15.

August 16-31: LEGO VIPs get Early Access to a new exclusive set. This set will be The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ninjago City (70620).

August 19 & 26: LEGO Life Meeting.

August 30: VIP Cinderella’s Castle mini build event. Registration for it starts today. Call your local LEGO Brand Store to sign up.

LEGO BrickHeadz Exclusive Wonder Woman In-Store Building Event

From July 1-16, be one of the first 80 people to make a $75 purchase at a LEGO Brand Store and you can register for a LEGO BrickHeadz building event for an exclusive Wonder Woman set. This particular Wonder Woman is based on the DC Super Hero Girl version and is different from the 206 San Diego Comic Con version which is based on the classic design.

The building event itself will be held from July 17-31 but the actual date varies by store. Only one registration slot per $75 purchase per person and purchase and registration must be on the same day.

LEGO July 2017 Double VIP Promotion Now Live

The July 2017 LEGO Double VIP Point promotion is now live Shop@Home as well as at LEGO Brand Stores. For every purchase you make, you can get double points. This is a great opportunity to get some of the larger sets like the LEGO Creator Carousel (10257) or the LEGO Star Wars UCS Snowspeeder (75144). The promotion runs until the end of the day July 4.

The LEGO Batman Movie: The Essential Collection Exclusive Penguin Minifigure Revealed – There will be an exclusive Penguin minifigure included in The LEGO Batman Movie: The Essential Collection.

LEGO Worlds Announces Paid Classic Space DLC Pack – During E3 2017, WB Games and TT Games announced the first paid DLC for LEGO Worlds with the Classic Space DLC Pack.

LEGO Worlds Announce Free Survivor DLC – Also announced at E3 for LEGO Worlds was the free Survivor DLC that will be coming to the game.

LEGO Inside Tour 2017 Exclusive Set Revealed – The 2017 LEGO Inside Tour has been completed and the exclusive set that was revealed for attendees was the LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000024).

A few days ago, we saw the official images for the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Justice League sets but we only got a glimpse of the box art for the largest set in the wave, the Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack (76087). The set is now listed on Shop@Home and we now get an in-depth look at it. The set will be available August 1 for $129.99.
