LEGO Scooby-Doo! Blowout Beach Bash Blu-Ray

LEGO Scooby-Doo Blowout Beach Bash

There will be a new LEGO Scooby-Doo! original movie coming out on on Blu-Ray/DVD next month called LEGO Scooby-Doo!: Blowout Beach Bash. It doesn’t look like there will be an exclusive minifigure included like the previous movie (Haunted Hollywood) but the Blu-Ray itself contains some of the original Scooby-Doo cartoon episodes including Go Away Ghost Ship, A Clue for Scooby-Doo, and Party Like It’s 1899.

The movie will be available starting July 25.

Scooby-Doo! and his pals Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy are no strangers to solving spooky mysteries filled with all types of ghouls and goblins. This time is no different. As Scooby-Doo! and his friends are on their way to Blowout Beach for a real swinging beach party in the Mystery Machine, the Ghost Pirates threaten to ruin the gang’s good vibes. It is up to Scooby and the gang to get the party back on track, without missing a beat.

LEGO Worlds Announcing New Space Content at E3 2017?

E3 2017 is only a few days away and LEGO Worlds has teased some new content being announced at the event. In the GIF, it shows an astronaut minifigure looking up in the sky with the caption “Where Are We Going Next?” It’s most likely that LEGO Worlds will be going up to space but we’ll have to wait and see what kind of gameplay it will be. I’m hoping it’ll be some classic Space themes like Blacktron, M-Tron, Space Police, or Ice Planet 2002. What do you want to be announced for LEGO Worlds at E3 2017?

If you didn’t see the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment E3 press release, they will be livestreaming next week and the LEGO Worlds events will be on:

LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) in Production Through 2018

The new LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) is a very hot commodity at the moment and you’ll be lucky if you are able to find it available in stores. It’s so sought after at this time that LEGO Shop@Home has it out of stock for the time being with no estimated return date. Other retailers like Barnes and Noble may have it but your mileage may vary. Fans who are desperate for the set have resorted going to the secondary market however I would advise not going that route.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

I believe LEGO has learned from the past in releasing limited sets, like the Research Institute (21110), especially for a theme like LEGO Ideas which has fans from all over, even those who are not traditional LEGO fans. In a recent post on Reddit, a user has gotten confirmation from LEGO that production of the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) will continue production for at least through 2018. This isn’t shocking news but it does reassure people that there will be more of the sets coming.

The moral of the story is to be patient and don’t pay scalper prices for something that will be coming back in the near future.

The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929) Found at US Toys R Us

The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929)

It finally looks like the US will be getting The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929) in a wider release. A reader has sent in an image of the polybag set out in a New Jersey Toys R Us. We’re still not sure of the official release date of it at TRU as they had to key it in but it rang up for $5.99 each.

If you remember from earlier this week, LEGOLAND California also has a promotion going for the Batman Battle Pod so it appears that LEGO will be finally releasing it here in the US. The item number 740399 and the SKU is 673419269292.

There’s still no word on whether TRU will be the only retailer having it available or if Shop@Home or other outlets will have them as well. Be on the lookout at your local Toys R Us to see if they have it at your store. Thanks to Todd for emailing this in.

Update: I’ve been told that it will officially be available at TRU starting on Sunday. We’ll see what sort of promo it goes with when the weekly ad comes out in a few days. Thanks to Peter for this info.

LEGO Architecture Arc de Triomphe (21036) Official Images

LEGO Architecture Arc de Triomphe (21036)

The first images of the LEGO Architecture Arc de Triomphe (21036) were first seen at the Nuremberg Toy Fair but there are now official images of the set. It recreates one of Paris’ most famous monuments joining the Villa Savoye (21014), Eiffel Tower (21019), and the Louvre (21024) as some of the French buildings in the LEGO Architecture line.

Some of the details in the set include a gold stud in the middle to represent the eternal flame on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There’s also some statues on the Arc’s pillars to represent some of the historical moments in French history.

The Arc de Triomphe will be available starting on August 1 for $39.99.
