The LEGO Batman Movie Predicted to Win Opening Weekend

The LEGO Batman Movie will be premiering in theaters in two weeks and going up against it are some other high profile movies including Fifty Shades Darker and John Wick: Chapter 2. It is predicted that The LEGO Batman Movie will take in more than $50 million in box office sales that weekend while Fifty Shades Darker will get $30mil-$42mil and John Wick rounding it out with about $20mil. Keep in mind that these are just US box office predictions.

One other interesting stat is that The LEGO Batman Movie has a 83% total awareness among moms which are categorized as women over 25 with a 9% unaided awareness and definite interest of 49% among men under 25.

Who is going to see The LEGO Batman Movie on opening weekend? I have a feeling that it’ll be pretty packed similar to what happened for The LEGO Movie so it’s highly suggested that you reserve your tickets early to guarantee your seat.

There is a new press release from WaterTower Music announcing the release date of The LEGO Batman Movie Soundtrack. The CD and digital release will be on February 3 while the Vinyl copy will be out on May 19. You can also pre-order The LEGO Batman Movie Soundtrack on iTunes and the vinyl on Amazon. BURBANK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–WaterTower Music has announced the February 3 CD and digital release of the soundtrack to the new animated adventure “The LEGO® Batman Movie,” one week before the film opens in theatres on February 10. A vinyl configuration of the soundtrack, “The LEGO Batman Movie: Songs From The Motion Picture Soundtrack,” will be released May 19. The collection features new music from DNCE, Alex Aiono, Patrick Stump, Oh, Hush! feat. Will Arnett and Jeff Lewis, Kirsten Arian, Justin Tranter, and more. The album also includes 16 of the film’s score cues by Grammy-winning composer Lorne Balfe, and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) on drums.

LEGO Dimensions Hermione Fun Pack (71348) Gameplay Footage

Last night, I reported on the first look at the LEGO Dimensions Hermione Fun Pack (71243) which was officially revealed at the Harry Potter Celebration at Universal Studios. Today, there is now some gameplay footage of the Fun Pack which shows off some of the spells that Hermione uses such as Riddikulus, Wingardium Leviosa, as well as a protective barrier charm. It also shows some footage of the Buckbeak build. In addition to that you also get to play in the Harry Potter Adventure World and Battle Arena.

It is stated that the LEGO Dimensions Hermione Fun Pack (71243) will be released in the spring but no mentioning of the exact release date. It is rumored that the date will be March 21 which is when the Wave 8 sets are available. The Fun Pack has 64 pieces and will most likely retail for $11.99.

LEGO Dimensions Harry Potter Hermione Fun Pack (71348) Revealed at Harry Potter Celebration

There are now images of the LEGO Dimensions Harry Potter Hermione Fun Pack (71348) courtesy of Bricks to Life. Universal Studios has doing their Harry Potter Celebration and on display was the upcoming Fun Pack which includes the Hermione minifigure as well as the brick-built Buckbeack.

It is stated on the display that the Hermione Fun Pack (71348) will be available in March which is when LEGO Dimensions Wave 8 will be released. If you picked up The LEGO Batman Movie Fun Pack (71344) reservation card at Target you can see that it is a timed-exclusive until March 21 which is when Wave 8 should drop.

Last week, I reported on the upcoming McDonald’s Happy Meal toys for The LEGO Batman Movie. We now know the dates of when they will be coming out which will be from February 7 to March 6. There’s no word on whether all of the items will be released at the same time or if they will be come out in waves spread out through the month but I have a feeling it’s the latter.
