LEGO Dimensions Coming to an End?

LEGO Dimensions Year 2

Here’s an very interesting rumor involving the future of LEGO Dimensions and it’s not looking too good for the popular toys-to-life game. Bricks to Life has put out a report that LEGO Dimensions may be coming to an end sooner than we thought. We already knew that TT Games had promised three years of content but that looks like that may be cut short. I’ve seen various reports on it but I’ve held off until there were more information about it.

Bricks to Life was given this information from their sources and it also corresponds to what Just2Good stated last month which he took a lot of flak for. There’s also in-game content that may also suggest the same thing where some content were removed in the latest update. Furthermore, it was also stated that the company held a meeting to review their upcoming games and LEGO Dimensions went from top of the list to the bottom. Coupled that with the very deep discounts of the expansion packs recently, everything seems to be correlate that the game will be coming to an end.

Of course there’s still more LEGO Dimensions expansion packs that will be coming out in the near future including The Goonies Level Pack (71267), Hermione Fun Pack (71348), and the LEGO City Fun Pack (71266) which are all coming out in May. There’s also some unannounced expansion packs from various themes including The Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice, and Teen Titan’s Go! which we haven’t officially seen yet. Then there’s that Lord Vortech … Continue

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales The Silent Mary (71042) Review

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales The Silent Mary (71042)

Last month at the 2017 New York Toy Fair, LEGO revealed the new LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales The Silent Mary (71042). We got a first good look at The Silent Mary during the Super Bowl TV spot where it showed some of the details of the ship as well as some of the accessories like the ghost sharks. The 2,294 piece set will retail for $199.99 and will be available for LEGO VIP members on March 17 and to the general public on April 1. The contents of the box include 15 numbered bags going from Bags 1-13, one unnumbered bag with the masts and sharks, a bag with the fabric sails, and the instruction booklet.

The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929) LEGOLAND Florida Promotion

The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929)

Last week, I reported that The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929) will be coming to LEGOLAND California in the near future. There’s now a report from a reader that LEGOLAND Florida has started a promotion for the polybag as a free gift with purchases of $30 or more of The LEGO Batman Movie products. If you live close to the area, I would give them a call to confirm that the promo is going.

LEGO Stranger Things Upside Down Looks More Fun Than It’s Supposed To

One of my favorite shows from last year was Stranger Things and RyantheAmazing over on Reddit has recreated some scenes from the show with LEGO. Some details that it shows include Joyce’s living room, the kids playing Dungeons & Dragons, as well as a play feature that includes the Upside Down.

You can see lots of little details of the living room including the Christmas lights as well as the kids. The whole section then flips over using a Technic pin to reveal the dark Upside Down dimension. Check out the full album here.

LEGO Brand Stores to Start Carrying Store Exclusive Sets

The LEGO Batman Movie The Penguin Arctic Roller (70911)

Have you walked into a LEGO Store looking for a particular set but end up finding out that it is an exclusive set to another store? One example is The Penguin Arctic Roller (70911) which is actually a Target exclusive so you can only find that set there.

After many customer complaints, what I am hearing is that there will no longer be store exclusives and LEGO Stores will start carrying all the sets from a particular wave. This means that stores like Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us will no longer be the place to go for one set. Of course you can buy the set on Shop@Home but if you’re already at a LEGO Store, why wait for shipping on it.

There’s no word on when the change will take effect but I’m already seeing the Arkham Asylum (70912) at LEGO Stores which was previously a Toys R Us exclusive.
