The LEGO Batman Movie Sets Showing Up at Target

The LEGO Batman Movie sets have started showing up at various Target stores and someone on Eurobricks was able to purchase the set and they have showed off some of the unannounced sets in the back of the instructions. The first set is Clayface Splat Attack (70904) which is the set with the brick-built Clayface as well as Batman and the Mayor. In the same thread, an image of set 70910 is shown off that features a motorcycle pizza delivery with Scarecrow, Batman, and a security guard. The set can combine with The Joker Balloon Escape (70900) and Mr. Freeze Ice Attack (70901) to create a larger playset.

Keep in mind the official release for some of The LEGO Batman Movie sets aren’t until December so Target may not sell them to you even if they are displayed already. Someone over on Reddit has found the DPCI numbers for the sets if you want to go searching for them.

LEGO Technic 40th Anniversary Brick in 2017 Sets

2017 will mark the 40th anniversary of the LEGO Techinc theme. As I mentioned in the winter 2017 rumor post, the sets will come with a commemorative brick to celebrate the event. LEGO has started to upload official images to their servers and sure enough, one of the bricks that will be included in the 2017 sets will be one of these commemorative bricks. As you can see above, it is a 1×3 beam with the words “40 1977-2017” printed on it.

LEGO Creator Winter 2017 Official Images

LEGO Ideas Red Dwarf LEGO Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Red Dwarf LEGO project by Legobob32 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project is based on the cult British comedy of the same name. I’m not familiar with the show at all but the description describes it as a set that “uses the best aspects from across all the season.” Proposed in the project include:

The RED crew quarters décor from season X, the Holly Hop Drive from season II, the space craft Blue Midget and the male incarnation of Holly.”

The Red Dwarf now joins Boat Repair Shop, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “The Bus” Hulkbuster UCS, and LEGO Store Modular Version as the projects that qualify the Third 2016 Review Stage.

The LEGO Store Modular Version project by kashaka is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The store is minifigure scale is one of the main features is the roof area that uses Technic gears to give it the look. The back side of the LEGO store is able to open up to reveal the storage area.
