I’ve been contacted by a representative from Toys R Us UK about a photo competition they’ve just started to win either a £100 Toys R Us voucher or a LEGO City High-Speed Passenger Train (60051). It’s a pretty simple contest as all you have to do is to take a scenic picture with a LEGO minifigure. The top 10 photos will be featured and voted upon. Back in January of this year at the 2016 London Toy Fair, there were some details of the new LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) and at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, we got our first look at it. LEGO fans and car enthusiasts alike were excited for the set and just last month, it was officially announced.
It’s a new month and that means the June 2016 promotions are now live on LEGO Shop@Home. June also means the release of some summer 2016 sets for LEGO City
and LEGO Star Wars
. The LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056)
was supposed to be available too but I’m not sure why it’s not you’re not able to add it to the cart. Hopefully that’ll be changed in the morning.

Sonic the Hedgehog Rumored to be Confirmed for LEGO Dimensions – CM4Sci on Eurobricks has reported that Sonic the Hedgehog (71244) will be heading to LEGO Dimensions when Series 2 comes out.
LEGO Star Wars Escape the Space Slug Building Instructions – During the LEGO Star Wars May the 4 event, there was a special promotion for LUG members to purchase the exclusive Escape the Space Slug set.
LEGO Star Wars UCS Assault on Hoth (75098) Review – I did my review on the very controversial LEGO Star Wars UCS Assault on Hoth (75098) set and it was a mixed review at the end.
You’ve probably may have noticed this but retail stores have been marking down sets to clear out shelf space to make way for the summer 2016 wave of LEGO sets. As a result, Amazon has also dropped prices on over 150 LEGO sets with at least 20% off the retail price. I’ve already mentioned some of these sets like the City ones but there’s also some Star Wars and Super Heroes ones, just to name a few. Reminder today is the last day to get the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Civil War Captain America’s Motorcycle (30447) polybag at LEGO Stores. You may have to call the stores first to see if they still have some available. Unfortuately if you’re shopping online, the promotion sold out very fast on Shop@Home and there are no more on that front.
Toys R Us stores might still have them available. Check with customer service with the item number 396626. Alternatively, you can purchase online and do a store pickup if they are still available near you.
There are now official images of the summer 2016 LEGO Technic sets via Bricker. There are only three sets in the wave minus the Porsche GT3 RS (42056) which I’ll have a review of on June 1.
