Rumors of Double VIP Points Event This Weekend August 5-7

I can not confirm it at this time but there are rumors there will be a Double VIP Points event at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home this weekend from August 5-7. I was told about it by Clutch over at Bricks on the Dollar yesterday and another person has posted about it too over on Reddit.

I will try to confirm tomorrow whether or not this is true but all signs point to yes. If you’ve been waiting to pick up any of the new summer 2016 sets, I suggest waiting just a little bit longer to get those double points. For us who have already bought stuff, it’s kind of a bummer especially since LEGO has been pretty slow at announcing things lately.
