LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters: Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Overnight, Brent Waller once again has achieved 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas with his Ghostbusters: Stay Puft Marshmallow Man project. This will be Brent’s third project to go to the review stage including the Batmobile Tumbler Minifig Scale and Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary which eventually became the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108).

The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is essentially a large scale build of Gozer’s physical manifestation which towers over buildings and minifigures. The model stands at 13 inches high and contains around 1800 pieces at its current state.

The project joins Brick-Built Adventure Time Figures, Caterham Super Seven, the Modular Library, Lothlorien, and LEGO Physics as the ones eligible to be reviewed by the LEGO Jury for a chance to become an official set.

LEGO Dimensions Scooby Doo Team Pack (71206)

FamilyGamerTV has released a new LEGO Dimensions trailer featuring a Scooby-Doo retro-style cartoon. The trailer also shows off some of the gameplay from the Scooby-Doo Team Pack (71206) and scenes from other expansion packs.

For Scooby-Doo fans that want to customize their LEGO Dimensions experience, it was also announced that a Scooby-Doo Team Pack which includes LEGO Scooby-Doo and LEGO Shaggy minifigures, plus a LEGO Mystery Machine and LEGO Scooby Snack, will be available at the launch of the Starter Pack.

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy each have their own abilities and the Mystery Machine and Scooby Snack can be physically built and then rebuilt twice for a total of three different objects that do entirely different things in the digital game for massive variety. Either character can also unlock the Scooby-Doo Adventure World, an open-world environment which provides additional open world gameplay content separate from the game’s main story which allows players to explore iconic Scooby-Doo locations, race, solve puzzles, and more.

LEGO BIONICLE SDCC 2015 Skull Scorpio Mask Giveaway Winner Announced

LEGO BIONICLE SDCC 2015 Skull Scorpio Mask

It’s time to close out the contest I was running for the LEGO BIONICLE SDCC 2015 Skull Scorpio Mask. There were just over 5,000 entries which is fairly low considering that the other two contests had a couple thousand more entries. It’s not really a surprise since people were really going for the exclusive Super Heroes minifigures. As usual, the winner is randomly chosen and the name that was given is:

Saqib Asomugha – Massachusetts

Again, thank you to everyone who participated in the SDCC giveaways. I wish I had more of the SDCC stuff to give out but that’s all I could get my hands on. Stay tuned as in a few weeks, I have another contest planned hopefully in the beginning of September. I won’t say what it is right now but I’m pretty sure you guys will definitely like it.

New LEGO Nexo Knights Logo Found

LEGO Nexo Knights

CM4Sci over on Eurobricks has revealed what appears to be the official logo for the new theme that will be coming out in 2016 called LEGO Nexo Knights. The details of the theme are pretty scarce but it will be replacing LEGO Legends of Chima and will be bringing a Castle-type theme with hints of Steampunk. The story will revolve around some hero characters named Clay, Macy, Aaron, Robin, and Lance going up against some baddies named Jestro, Moltor, and Lavaria.

Rumor has it there are six building sets as well as six character sets named Ultimate (Character Name) which I assume will be Constraction/Ultrabuild sets. More details as they become available.
