LEGO Dimensions Midway Arcade Gamer Level Pack (71235)

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new press release with more information about the LEGO Dimensions Midway Arcade Gamer Level Pack (71235). The level pack will include various classic Midway Arcade games like Super Sprint, Gauntlet, Defender, and Robotron just to name a few. There are more than 20 different arcade games to beat while in LEGO Dimensions. Check out the full press release below as well as new images of the game.

Explore The Simpsons and Midway Arcade In LEGO® Dimensions

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today revealed screenshots showcasing The Simpsons and Midway Arcade gameplay for LEGO Dimensions, the upcoming entertainment experience that merges physical LEGO brick building with interactive console gameplay. Both The Simpsons and Midway Arcade levels are part of the LEGO Dimensions main game that can be played through in the Starter Pack.

The Simpsons Level within the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack incorporates a cel-shaded art style, for a look that is true to the original, animated series and unique from the other levels within the game. Players will face an unlikely pair of evil masterminds in The Simpsons Level – Lord Business and The Joker – who have joined Lord Vortech’s legion of villains and invaded Springfield. It is up to our heroes to defeat them and restore order in The Simpsons world. For fans of The Simpsons that want to customise their LEGO Dimensions experience, a The Simpsons Level Pack which includes a LEGO Homer Simpson minifigure and The Simpsons Fun Packs which include a LEGO Bart Simpson minifigure

LEGO Space Micro-Scale Space Cruiser (11910) Review

Today I have another Throwback Thursday review, but again not in the traditional sense. I’ve received an advanced review copy of the upcoming Great LEGO Sets: A Visual History by DK that will be released in October. Included with the book is a LEGO Space Micro-Scale Space Cruiser (11910). If it looks familiar, that is because it is a mini version of one of the best LEGO Space sets of all-time, the Galaxy Explorer (497/924).

The set comes in comes separately in a box within the slipcover. The front of the box shows the Micro-Scale Space Cruiser with a rather large LEGO logo on the top left and the set number on the right. There’s also a window showing off some of the pieces of the set. The back of the box shows some action shots of the Space Cruiser.

Within the box, there is a polybag and a small instruction booklet included. The set is designed by Mel Caddick and it contains 102 pieces.

The build is very quick and easy to assemble and just like its larger counterpart, the back is able to open up by the hinges to reveal a 1×2 mini moon buggy.

Overall, the Micro-Scale Space Cruiser (11910) is a great little replica of the famous Galaxy Explorer. Again Great LEGO Sets: A Visual History will be available in October but you can pre-order it now on Amazon. I’ll have a review of the book itself after I have time to read through it.

LEGO Dimensions Expansion Pack Guide

The LEGO Dimensions Facebook Page has posted a handy little infographic guide for all of the different expansion packs and the minifigures that will be available for the upcoming video game. There will be five different waves of various Level Packs, Team Packs, and Fun Packs being released on different dates.

Reports of LEGO Ideas WALL·E (21303) Being Delayed

There are reports over on Reddit that the upcoming LEGO Ideas WALL·E (21303) set has been delayed for a few weeks due to a “quality issue.” I’ve also gotten a message from a reader who also works at a LEGO Brand Store and they have said the same thing. From my message, they also said that “something was not up to LEGO quality they they missed.” I’m not sure what this quality issue is about but I’m wondering if it is part of the top neck joint area that makes the head unstable and won’t stay in place as I stated in my review. I’ll try to get some more clarification and how long the delay will be. The set was scheduled to be released on September 1st.

GameStop Announces Release Date for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Video Game

GameStop has revealed the release date of the upcoming LEGO Marvel Avengers video game as January 26, 2016. Before this announcement, we’ve only been hearing from TT Games Game Director Arthur Parsons that the game would be coming in the fall but that general release timetable was changed after Gamescom when it was said to be pushed back to 2016.

When you pre-order LEGO Marvel’s Avengers from GameStop, you will also get the exclusive LEGO Silver Centurion Mark XXXIII Iron Man minifigure as a bonus.

LEGO Ideas WALL·E (21303) Review

In 2008, Disney and Pixar released a film called WALL·E and it instantly became not only one of best animated movies of all-time, but one of the best movies in general. In July of last year, the LEGO Ideas project by Angus MacLane hit 10,000 supporters and a few months later, it was announced that WALL·E would become an official LEGO Ideas set.

LEGO Seasonal Trick or Treat (40122) Review

A few days ago, we got our first look at the new LEGO Seasonal Trick or Treat (40122) set. The set is officially available on September 1st but some LEGO Stores have started receiving their shipments of it. I’ve managed to purchase a set and here’s my review of it.

The Trick or Treat set contains 133 pieces and retails for $9.99 like previous Seasonal sets. The contents of the box include three un-numbered bags, a small instruction booklet, and two loose dark green 4×8 plates.
