More Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010) Revealed

Idle Hands has posted some close up images of the new minifigures from the Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures: Monsters (71010). These images show off the Plant Monster, Bigfoot, Monster Rocker, Zombie Businessman, Skeleton Guy, Specter, Gargoyle, Zombie Cheerleader, and Spider Lady. As you can see from the images aside from the “Monsters” having some great printing, they also have some very neat accessories to go with them like the camera for Bigfoot and the pumpkin for the Skeleton Guy. Apparently, the Series 14 minifigures were shown off at a toy event called Sweet Suite which shows off upcoming toys for this holiday season.

Earlier today, we saw also the Crazy Scientist from the new Argos ad in addition to the Wacky Witch we saw last month in a French ad. This wave of Collectible Minifigures looks to be a definite winner when they are released in a few months.

Update: It looks like the official names are on the Argos website.

LEGO City & LEGO Ninjago 2016 Set Rumors

The summer 2015 wave of sets are scheduled to be released soon and that means rumors are starting to pop up about 2016 sets. The first of these rumors is for the 2016 LEGO City sets. A few days ago, legomilk over on Eurobricks has talked about some of the LEGO City stuff including some Fire sets, one of which is a large Fire Station that will go for around €109,99. Other City sets that were mentioned are some small police sets, cars and garage, cleaning sets, and rescue sets. I’m assuming that the rescue sets will be related to the fire station.

Some other rumors for 2016 are for the LEGO Ninjago sets. Again, legomilk give some small details about next year’s wave of Ninjago sets noting that they will be back but with 5 sets. This might not seem like a lot but keep in mind that we’ve gotten a lot of sets this year from the Tournament of Elements wave to the recently finished Morro storyline. We’re not sure what will be going on in 2016 but there have been hints that it might involve pirates next year so we’ll see plus there’s the LEGO Ninjago movie coming in 2017 so I don’t see the theme going away anytime soon.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 14 (71010) Mad Scientist in Argos Ad

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 14 (71010) - Monsters

Over in the UK, the new Argos catalog is available and Brickset has found an image of the new LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 14 (71010) – Monsters. The picture shows off the Mad Scientist minifigure which makes him the fifth one we’ve officially seen with the others being the Rocker Monster, Crazy Witch, Skeleton, and Lady Vampire. I also like the look of the Monsters logo. It gives it a wacky feel which I think Series 14 will be bringing to the table.

The rest of the minifigures on the list that have yet be seen are The Fly, Gargoyle, Grim Reaper, Specter/Ghost/Phantom/Spirit, Bigfoot, Tiger Woman, Werewolf, Zombie Pirate Captain, Zombie Cheerleader, Zombie Businessman, and Plant Monster/Man-eating Plant. The ad shows Series 14 will be available in September so we’ll probably see LEGO officially revealing all of them in the next few weeks or so.

Anaheim Ducks Frederik Andersen Wearing a New LEGO Goalie Mask Next Season

Lego DuckMan - The Dark Duck

A few months ago, I featured Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen and his LEGO goalie mask that he wore during last season in the NHL. For this upcoming season, he will be wearing another LEGO inspired mask to pay tribute to his homeland of Denmark. He has commissioned DaveArt artist David Gunnarsson to create a mask featuring LEGO Batman wearing the Ducks jersey. Even the Ducks logo is seen wearing Batman’s cowl. It looks like we can look forward to seeing Andersen wearing different LEGO masks every season.

LEGO Minecraft The Snow Hideout (21120) Review

LEGO Minecraft The Snow Hideout (21120)

Last last week, I received a package from the LEGO CEE team and inside was the summer 2015 wave of the LEGO Minecraft The Snow Hideout (21120) and The Nether Fortress (21122) sent for me to review. Although I haven’t done many reviews of the previous LEGO Minecraft sets, I have some knowledge of Minecraft since I used to play the game a few years ago. This review is for The Snow Hideout (21120) which contains 327 pieces and will retail for $34.99.
