LEGO Ideas Doctor Who (21304)

The official Doctor Who YouTube channel has released a new video featuring the new LEGO Ideas Doctor Who (21304) set. The video is made in a Gallifreyan Shopping Network broadcast similar to the Home Shopping Network.

In the video, we can see some closer details of what we’ll be getting in the Doctor Who set and the size of the set compared to a regular person since it’s hard to judge from just pictures.

Construct a stunningly detailed LEGO® version of the iconic TARDIS® and role-play the Doctor’s time-travel adventures! Created by fan-designer Andrew Clark and selected by LEGO Ideas members, this set is based on the BBC’s popular and long-running television series about a Time Lord – the Doctor – exploring the universe in a blue police box. Due to trans-dimensional engineering, the TARDIS is bigger on the inside than the outside and this cool multifunctional set includes the console room that houses all the flight controls. Regenerate the Doctor and defeat the evil Daleks™ and a Weeping Angel with the help of his extraordinary companion Clara. Then close the doors of the TARDIS and launch into another dimension! Includes 4 minifigures with assorted accessory elements: the Eleventh Doctor, the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald and a Weeping Angel, plus 2 Daleks™.

The Art of the Brick: DC Comics Batmobile Revealed

If you followed my coverage of San Diego Comic Con, you would know that there was a panel called DC Comics Meets LEGO Art which featured Nathan Sawaya as a guest. There he talked about his upcoming exhibition called The Art of the Brick: DC Comics and today Comic Book Resources has revealed the LEGO Batmobile that he has created for the exhibit. As you can see, it is a full-size Batmobile which was designed by Jim Lee at SDCC and was created with over 500,000 bricks in less than three months and is 18 foot long.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Toys R Us X-Wing Building Event

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Toys R Us X-Wing

Yesterday, I talked about some of the upcoming building events for October. Hoth Bricks has found a new Toys R Us building event for a mini LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens X-Wing Fighter. This event will be held on Saturday, November 14 from 12-2pm. This X-Wing is Poe Dameron’s version and is slightly different from previous X-Wings we’ve seen from Toys R Us. Mark your calendars because I expect this building event to be very popular ahead of the release of The Force Awakens in December.
