LEGO Ideas The Big Bang Theory (21302) Review

LEGO Ideas The Big Bang Theory (21302)

In a few weeks, the official release of the tenth LEGO Ideas set, The Big Bang Theory (21302), will be happening at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Homeicon. I’ve received a set from the LEGO CEE Team to review for you guys.

The set was first conceived on LEGO Ideas back in February 2014 by Alatariel and GlenBricker and the project passed the review in November 2014. Before that, there was a lot of support from fans of the television sitcom which has a cult following in itself. The official set will contain 484 pieces and retail for $59.99.

Blocks Magazine Issue 10 Preview

Earlier today, I’ve received a press release email from the Blocks team regarding the latest issue of their magazine which will be a Batman focused issue. Check it out below:

The new edition of Blocks Magazine is on its way to subscribers now. This month, Batman has cast his watchful eye over the issue, with Anatomy of the Batmobile, reviews of new sets including Jokerland and a history timeline.

Elsewhere, we find out how real life ninjas portray Ninjago, showcase a huge Arkham Asylum build, learn how to make LEGO water displays and catch up with the man behind Brickstand.

Blocks’ events section visits San Diego Comic Con, Northumbria Brick Show, Star Wars Day at LEGOLAND and we find out what it’s really like to go on the LEGO Inside Tour.

With all this and plenty more it’s an action packed issue, available in stores and online in digital format from Thursday 23rd July. As well as free prize draws, subscribers get their copies early – see www.blocksmag.com for more details.

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2015 Exclusives Giveaway

LEGO SDCC 2015 Exclusives Giveaway

I hear you guys like giveaways so here’s another one that you may be interested in. As you can see from the image above, I have a whole set of LEGO SDCC exclusives that I will be giving away. You may ask how did I get two sets of exclusives. You may not know this but I had my brother stand in line with me at Comic Con and he was able to get a whole set himself. Since he isn’t into LEGO as much as I am, we came to a mutual agreement to give me the exclusives and here we are.

So my question for you guys is what kind of giveaway do you want? Would you like to have three separate giveaways for each individual exclusive or just one giveaway for all three exclusives. I made a Straw Poll and you can vote on your choice. The one with the most votes will be the giveaway that will be done. I’ll let this run for about a week or so to let the votes populate. This will be a worldwide giveaway so that people who weren’t able to attend SDCC have a chance to win them.

The fate is in your hands. Choose wisely.

2015 Third Quarter LEGO Store Build-A-Minifigure Bar Elements

LEGO Store Build-A-Minifigure 3rd Quarter 2015

At the beginning of July, LEGO Stores changed out their Build-A-Minifigure bar and there are now some new elements for you to choose from. I picked out every single part of each element I could find at the station so some of the parts might be leftovers from last quarter.

For the torsos above, the most notable ones I found was the Kingdoms lion torso and the Monster Fighters jacket.

For the legs, there isn’t much that stand out. There is the Curtis Bolt Ultra Agents black legs with the blue screen that could be useful for some sci-fi characters. The blue jeans are good for any general use. Finally the white spaceman ones are also available.

For the head accessories, I’m not sure which ones are for this quarter because I forgot to document which ones were for last quarter so here’s everything I could find from my store. The selection at your store may vary but there should be some of these in all locations. As you can see, there’s a nice variety to choose from.

For the heads, again I apologize for not being sure which ones are from this quarter’s change out since my store was out of the new heads last quarter. However what I found in this selection are some pretty cool ones like the ghost head from Lord of the Rings and a couple of the female Ultra Agents ones.

More Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010) Revealed

Idle Hands has posted some close up images of the new minifigures from the Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures: Monsters (71010). These images show off the Plant Monster, Bigfoot, Monster Rocker, Zombie Businessman, Skeleton Guy, Specter, Gargoyle, Zombie Cheerleader, and Spider Lady. As you can see from the images aside from the “Monsters” having some great printing, they also have some very neat accessories to go with them like the camera for Bigfoot and the pumpkin for the Skeleton Guy. Apparently, the Series 14 minifigures were shown off at a toy event called Sweet Suite which shows off upcoming toys for this holiday season.

Earlier today, we saw also the Crazy Scientist from the new Argos ad in addition to the Wacky Witch we saw last month in a French ad. This wave of Collectible Minifigures looks to be a definite winner when they are released in a few months.

Update: It looks like the official names are on the Argos website.
