LEGO Ideas The Legend of Zelda: King of Red Lions Play Set Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Legend of Zelda: King of Red Lions Play Set by flailx is the second project today to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project features Nintendo Gamecube’s Link from The Wind Waker in a 576 piece set which also includes the warship and an island for the play features.

There have been three other Legend of Zelda projects that have also achieved 10k supporter on LEGO Ideas/CUUSOO and have all failed to pass the review stage. The King of Red Lions project joins a large lineup of projects that have reached the First 2015 Review Stage which includes The Discworld, Science Adventures, Medieval Market Street, Disney Princess Frozen Elsa’s Ice Palace, Douglas DC-3, Bricksauria – Tyrannosaurus Rex, the International Space Station, and The Golden Girls. We’ll see in a few months if this Zelda project can finally pass the review stage or not.

LEGO Ideas The Golden Girls Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Golden Girls Living Room and Kitchen Modular Set by lostsleep is the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The media somehow got word of the project and it spread like a wildfire on various websites.

The set is a recreation of the Golden Girls House and includes minifigures of Dorothy, Rose, Sophia, Blanche, and Stanley. Although there was lots of coverage about the project, I honestly don’t see it passing the review stage with the lineup it’s going up against. The Golden Girls now join The Discworld, Science Adventures, Medieval Market Street, Disney Princess Frozen Elsa’s Ice Palace, Douglas DC-3, Bricksauria – Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the International Space Station in the First 2015 Review Stage.

Final Teaser Revealed for Scheduled LEGO Announcement Tomorrow

LEGO Batman

LEGO continues to tease us with another mysterious image today with this one featuring Batman. There have been images popping up on various social media accounts feature LEGO minifigures like Lord of the Rings with Gandalf and Wyldstyle from The LEGO Movie. In addition, LEGO has posted a short video featuring Joel McHale finding a mysterious glowing box at his front door with the caption “A mysterious box in front of an unassuming doorway… Interesting way to #BreakTheRules”.

Many people in the LEGO community believe that these teasers are for the new LEGO toys-to-life video game called LEGO Dimensions which will be released this year. This new game will “break” into the industry where Activision’s Skylanders, Disney’s Infinity, and Nintendo’s amiibo have dominated the marketplace. The meaning of these teasers aren’t that long as there will be a big reveal sometime tomorrow.

The LEGO Movie Mysterious Message Being Revealed on Thursday

The LEGO Movie Wyldstyle

There’s a mysterious image posted on the official The LEGO Movie Facebook Page that shows Wyldstyle standing in front of the portal with the hashtag #BreakTheRules. What’s interesting is the caption also says “2 Days. It’ll be like Taco Tuesday… but on a Thursday” so it seems something big will be revealed on Thursday. The Lord of the Rings Facebook Page also has something similar with Gandalf in the image. What could this be? I doubt it’ll be something to do with The LEGO Movie Sequel since that movie is still three years away and they’re still in the early stages of production. Could it have to do with some of the spinoff movies that will be coming out in the next few years?

Rumors has it that the reveal will be the new LEGO Dimensions toys-to-life game that will be releasing this year. We shall all see what this all means together on Thursday!

Star Wars Celebration 2015 Exclusive LEGO Set Found

Star Wars Celebration 2015 - LEGO Star Wars Tatooine Set

Star Wars Celebration 2015 will be happening next weekend in Anaheim and the event has gotten into the LEGO exclusive sets as well. A user by the name of conventionsales on eBay has posted a somewhat blurry image of the exclusive set that attendees would be able to get at Star Wars Celebration. The image shows off a LEGO Star Wars Tatooine Mini Build similar to the sets you can get at San Diego Comic Con which features a landscape of Tatooine that has the Lars homestead, a Sandcrawler, a landspeeder, microbuilds of some of the characters, and a C-3PO minifigure.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

There’s no word on how attendees will be able to get the set at the event or how much it will cost but you can be sure that it’ll go for a lot on the secondary market. I’m sure completionists will definitely try to get their hands on it. We’ll have more details as they become available as we get closer to the convention.
