LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Workshop (10245) Now Available for VIPs

LEGO Creator Santa's Workshop (10245)

It is September 17th on the east coast and that means the latest addition to the LEGO Winter Village series, Santa’s Workshop (10245), is now available for early access to LEGO VIP members on Shop@Home. The exclusive set will also be available at LEGO Brand Stores when they open tomorrow morning.

Santa’s Workshop (10245) retails for $69.99 and contains 883 pieces which is a very nice $0.08/piece. Fans of the Winter Village sets will definitely want to add this set to their collection.

Be sure you’re logged in to your VIP account to add the set to your cart. Currently, Shop@Home still says you can pre-order the set and will ship by October 1st but I assume it will ship earlier than that. The Santa’s Workshop (10245) will be available for the general public on October 1st. Check out the designer video and more images below.

LEGO Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220) Promotion with Freebies

The promotions for the LEGO Classic Spaceman Minifigure (5002812) and the Legends of Chima Worriz’ Fire Bike were supposed to end on midnight Sunday, September 14 on Shop@Home but it appears that both promotions are still going on. It seems like LEGO still has some stock left over for September’s promotions because people could be holding off on their purchases and waiting for next month’s double VIP points.

In addition, Shop@Home has an unannounced promotion for the LEGO Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220). When the set is in your cart, you also get the LEGO Creator Mini Volkswagen TI Camper Van (40079) polybag for free so in essence, you will be getting all three promotions for the price of one. Also, there are rumors that the T1 Camper Van could be retired very soon so this may be your last chance to get a good deal for it.

Be sure you are a VIP member to get all three promos or else you’ll be missing the Classic Spaceman Minifigure set since that one is a VIP only promo. I’m not sure if this same offer works for the LEGO Stores so you may want to call to confirm.

LEGO Announcement Accidentally Revealed? – (Spoilers)

Earlier this morning, we reported that LEGO will be making an announcement to “reveal something very exciting.” It looks like LEGO has accidentally spilled the beans on what this announcement could be.

Over on LEGO’s Google+ post of the same image, you can see the details of the photo and the file name says “Bionicle-4-new.jpg20140915-4177-5fuc51.jpg.” This pretty much almost confirms that they will be announcing the return of LEGO BIONICLE in 2015 and shoots down my guess that it could be the LEGO Ideas results. For many of us in the LEGO community, we already knew about the return of LEGO BIONICLE next year but for the general public who aren’t in the know, this is news to them.

We’ll keep you updated but it kinda lessens the excitement just a tad bit.

There are various reports that the Series 12 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71007) have started to show up at Walgreens and Walmart stores. The official release date is October 1st but as we mentioned before, stores sometimes stock them on shelves a few weeks early and it looks like that time is right about now. If you’re driving by one of these stores and can’t wait two more weeks for them to be widely released, check out the stores and you may be surprised to find them on the shelves. Your mileage may vary.

Exciting LEGO Announcement This Friday

LEGO has announced that in 4 days on Friday, September 19th, they will be “revealing something very exciting. Let the guessing game commence!” The picture, seen above, has a test card pattern which may give an indication of what this reveal could be. Test card patterns are often used as when there is no programming being broadcasted on a TV channel.

If I were to guess what the reveal is on Friday, it will be the results for the first LEGO Ideas review. We’ve been waiting a while for the results and it seems like the right time to reveal the set. There are a number of very good projects including LEGO Bird Project, Modular Apple Store, BTTF – Jules Verne Train, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory. and Doctor Who and Companions but the projects that kind of correlate to the image are The Big Bang Theory and the two Doctor Who projects. Since they are both television shows, it would make sense that a test card pattern would be used somehow.

I suspect that each day, LEGO will be posting another image to countdown to Friday so stay tuned. What do you think this reveal is all about?
