New LEGO Polybags Showing up at Target Halloween Section

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batwing (30301)

A few people have emailed my the past couple of days telling me that there are are some new LEGO polybags that have started to show up at Target stores in the Halloween section. The first polybag is the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batwing (30301) which goes for $3.99 and the other is the LEGO City Arctic Scout (30310) for $3.49.

It is still early September as of this writing so the Back-to-School section may still haven’t been changed out yet so keep an eye out for them when the Halloween stuff goes up. I went to check a couple of my local Target stores and I haven’t seen any at this time but I did see the LEGO Star Wars Imperial Shuttle (30246) in the checkout aisles.

Thanks to Stephen and Henry for emailing in.

LEGO BIONICLE 2015 Thumbnail Found

If there was any doubt that LEGO BIONICLE would be making a comeback in 2015, you can put those doubts to rest. As we get closer to 2015, more and more details of the highly popular theme are coming to light. The below image has shown up on LEGO.com’s servers and it looks to be the thumbnail that will be used on the products page when the sets are available. I know nothing about LEGO BIONICLE so I have no idea what the mask represents so I ask you BIONICLE fans, what do you think it is?

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 13 (71008) Minifigure Leaked?

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 13 (71008) - Director?

Some interesting details have come out of Eurobricks from Just2Good regarding Series 13 of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71008). We already know that they will be coming out in January but there may be some hints of one of the minifigures that will be in the set.

As you can see above, there is a Director minifigure, which we haven’t had before, and Just2Good suggests that he could be from Series 13. The image was from the Toys R Us website and there is also another promotional artwork from taken at a Toys R Us store (below). Although it is still pretty early to speculate on who will be in Series 13 considering that Series 12 isn’t even out yet, it may seem that the Director could be new since almost everything on the minifigure is new such as the face printing, torso, and accessory.

There are also other minifigures in the images but they seem to be pretty plain and not unique enough, minus the Tiki Warrior from Series 11, to be one of the special ones to be included Series 13. What do you guys think? Could Toys R Us have inadvertently revealed a minifigure from the Series 13 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71008)? We will soon see as more details of the 2015 sets slowly come out in the next few months.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 12 (71007) Feel Guide

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 12 (71007)

A few people have emailed me about a feel guide in preparation of the release for LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 12 (71007) in October so I guess I’ll write up a little something. Since the minifigures haven’t been released here in the US yet (that I know of), I’ll just describe what to feel for using images that are currently available.

We already know the distribution of the minifigures in a full box with WhiteFang’s review on Eurobricks and it will be a little easier searching for them since there are three full sets per box.

1. Wizard
The easiest thing to feel for is the large dress/robe leg piece but be careful since the Fairytale Princess also has it. The thing that distinguishes this minifigure from her is the wizard hat piece. You’ll notice a little tip on the hat is slightly curved and it does not have hair attached to it like the Fairytale Princess has.

2. Hun Warrior
The sword and the pointed hat should be the things you feel for. Be wary of the shield piece which has a stud in the middle unlike the Battle Goddess who has a slightly different one.

3. Fairytale Princess
As mentioned before, she has the large dress/robe leg piece. The things that makes her stand out is her hat/hair piece. It is a single piece and is pointed on top with the braided hair attached at the bottom.

4. Video Game Guy
There’s nothing much that gives him away except for the 1×2 controller tile … Continue

Bricks in Motion LEGO Filmmaking Documentary Kickstarter Project

Bricks in Motion is an online community dedicated to doing LEGO stop-motion aka brickfilms. Philip Heinrich has started a Kickstarter project to do a documentary about the world of LEGO filmmaking and the people behind the cameras.

The team behind the project will travel to several cities in the US and Canada to do interviews with some popular LEGO filmmakers including Kevin Ulrich (Brotherhood Workshop) and Forrest Whaley (forrestfire101) just to name a few. Our good friend Tommy Williamson (BrickNerd) will also be interviewed for the documentary.

There are also a ton of rewards you can get for pledging a certain amount towards the goal. Check out everything they have to offer as well as more details of the documentary on the Kickstarter page.
