There’s a new cool LEGO video of The Simpsons couch gag that was created by Brickfilmer MonsieurCaron. This stop-motion video incorporates the LEGO The Simpsons House (71006) as well as various characters from The LEGO Movie. The minute video shows three different gags and is done very well. Check out the video below.
I’ve gotten a few emails today from people who were ordering from Shop@Home and were trying to get the exclusive LEGO DC Comics Martian Manhunter (5002126) minifigure polybag but were informed that there were no more available. That’s right. There are no more Manhunters available not even two weeks into the promotional period. I’m not that surprised since LEGO fans have been waiting for this guy to get one step closer to completing their Justice League collection. At this time, you can still see the minifigure added to your shopping cart but you will get an email stating there are no more available. Below is that email that people have been getting from S@H about the promo. You may still be able to find one in brand stores but I’d call first to make sure they still have some available. Plus, there is the secondary market such as eBay

Due to overwhelming demand, the LEGO Shop Martian Manhunter promotion has been ended early for both the US and Canada.
Update: LEGO now lists the Martian Manhunter on the promos page as “Sold Out.”

The LEGO Legends of Chima animated TV show is back for season 2 on Cartoon Network this week. One big change is that the show has been moved to Saturday mornings. Below are the names of the episodes courtesy of Toonzone.
At the end of last season, the Dark Tribes were revealed as the ones who has trapped all the Legend Beasts and King Crominus as well as the ones who blocked the Chi falls. Cragger turns good again ands joins the main tribe warriors to the Outlands to save Chima. We can expect to see the new Spider and Scorpion tribes during this season.

Slow news days gives me a chance to catch up on some emails I’ve received the past few days. A reader named Dan has emailed in about something that he’s been doing for his sons. As an artist, Dan has started a LEGO minifigure mural in their room featuring characters from the Super Heroes line. So far he has posted images of Batman, Superman, Robin, Spider-Man, and the Joker that he has painted on the walls. Just looking at the closeups of the images, the characters look spot on. Dan is also planning on painting an Avengers wall as well as characters from The LEGO Movie. Check out more images below and follow his deviantArt and Pinterest for updates in the near future.
For you LEGO Mixels fans, you already know that you can mix and match pieces to create new Mixel character. LEGO has provided a number of instructions for you to create a Mix, Max, or Murp character. If you combine certain Mixels together, you will get a Mix and one character will have more control than the other. If you combine all three characters from a single tribe, you can create a Max. If you combine Mixels that have no synergy with each other, you will get a Murp. This new Mixel will have a unique personality and cannot be controlled. Check out all the characters that you can create on the minisite. Keep in mind that not all the characters listed have instructions but you can get a feel on how to create your own.
The LEGO Marketing department has given an explanation of the Ultimate Collector’s Series seal on the new LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler (75059).
“The decision has been made to change the packaging for future “LEGO exclusive” Star Wars sets to include the UCS seal and de-link from the core Star Wars packaging. In addition to the packaging change an update has been made to the building instructions. The building instructions will have additional pages detailing the model’s connection to the movie and its development process. Much as the Creator Expert badge differentiates the larger models from the core assortment the goal of this change is to better communicate to builders that these sets represent our biggest building challenge in the LEGO Star Wars theme.”

Volvo has released a press release and a video of how The LEGO Group and Volvo teamed up to create the Technic Volvo L350F Wheel Loader (42030). It seems that Eurobricks forum member Johan Sahlström, aka Superkalle who is also a Volvo engineer, had a hand in helping in the design of the set. As we’ve seen before, the L350F was revealed at the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair earlier this year.
