LEGO Ideas has relaunched the fan vote for the If We Can Turn Back Time due to an error last week in choosing the finalists. If you didn’t see, one of the creators had two projects in the fan vote which violated the terms of service so LEGO had to remove one of them. Replacing that project is the LEGO brick scene from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Your votes should have been reset and you can now rechoose your pick. The winner of this fan vote will be announced on June 14 and there will be a second fan vote which should start soon after and that winner will be announced on September 1.

After a weekend of controversy, the fan vote for the LEGO Ideas If We Can Turn Back Time building contest will be reset with five new projects from five different creators. Due to an oversight of the rules, the fan vote consisted of two projects from the same creator which was prohibited in the TOS stating that only one entry per person would be considered fro the fan vote. This reset will not impact the second fan vote in September. Full details of the fan vote reset will be coming soon.
… ContinueWe wanted to thank you all for your feedback surrounding the Fan Vote for this challenge. We have read your comments and deeply appreciate your support.
In response to your feedback, we will be restarting the Fan Vote, with 5 projects, from 5 different creators. One of the submissions by the same creator will be replaced with a new submission. This is in no way a reflection on the quality of any of the submissions and is solely due to an unfortunate mistake from us.
We will have full details in the Fan Vote relaunch blog coming very soon, however, we can tell you this will not impact the other Fan Vote for this challenge (which we’re very excited about!).
While we’re resetting this Fan Vote, it’s important to note that the creators who have received thousands of votes for their submissions, haven’t done anything wrong. Please be respectful of every, and all, of our incredibly creative challenge participants.
Thank you all, for your patience
