Trevi Fountain (21020) is Next LEGO Architecture Set

Brickset is reporting that the next LEGO Architecture set will be the Trevi Fountain (21020). The fountain is located in Rome, Italy and was designed by Nicola Salvi. The Trevi Fountain is one of the most well-known fountains in the world and is a major tourist attraction in Rome. One of traditions to do at the fountain is to throw coins into it. The legend states throwing one coin means a return to Rome, throw two coins and it leads to a new romance and finally, a third coin leads to marriage.

The new Architecture set was discovered on South African LEGO retailer Kiddiwinks. There’s no other details at this time. If you’ve think you’ve seen the set number before, you probably have. It is the same as the April Fools set that Brickset “announced” last year.

LEGO CUUSOO Goes From Quarterly Reviews to Tri-Annual

The team at LEGO CUUSOO has been working to streamline their rules and policies to make the whole process a smoother one. In their latest blog post, they note that they are switching the quarterly review schedule to three times a year and the “shift aligns the review schedule with the rest of the LEGO Group’s internal processes in a way that allows us to release results more regularly.” The review deadlines will now be in May, September, and January. This change will also allows CUUSOO to give results faster for their reviews and instead of waiting nine months for the results, you’ll see them around four months. In addition, they are working to shorten production times so the sets can get to the consumers quicker.

Finally, the results of the Fall 2013 Review will be coming in the next couple of weeks. The deadline for the first 2014 Review deadline is May 5th at 12:00am GMT.

Brickset’s recent database update has revealed some more characters in the LEGO Mixels line. We now have the names and set numbers of 9 new characters but that’s is all we have. I believe these characters are most likely the Series 2 Mixels and will probably be released in the summer.
