Today in Lipno Point, Czech Republic, LEGO has finally officially announced the LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236). The set contains 1990 pieces and will retail for $249.99. The set will be available in September 2013.

LEGO has finally stepped up to the challenge of creating a set that embodies what LEGO fans have been waiting for especially for a set that we’ve been waiting patiently for a very long time. The price of the set is worth it considering the amount of pieces you get along with the 16 minifigures. As you can see, the design of the village is well made with a lot of play features. You can now recreate your favorite scenes from Episode VI: Return of the Jedi with many recognizable features of the Ewok Village like the battering ram and C-3PO’s throne. Get ready! Word has it over on BrickLink by member akunthita, that the LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) will be officially announced at an exhibition over in Prague, Czech Republic. The official press release along with pictures and designer video will be available at 5AM EST. We’ll definitely be up at that time to report on it as soon as the information becomes available.

Flickr member, mexxbear, has posted an image of what could be the long rumored LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236). Hoth Bricks is reporting that GRogall has seen it and even has a price of € 249.99 for the set. There’s no “official” statement or images yet for the Ewok Village but it won’t be long until that news is uncovered by the LEGO community. From what we can see in the image, there are four Rebel Troopers, C-3P0, three Ewoks, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, and Chewbacca. The set itself is somewhat similar to the Ewok Attack (7956) from a couple of years ago. The set depicts the scene in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi where the heroes are captured by the Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor. Update: mexxbear has confirmed that the image above is indeed a MOC. After seeing the MOC and what the official set could look like, the wait of seeing the real set is even more excruciating since we’ve been waiting so long for a set like this. Hopefully we’ll get to see it soon.
