Classic Toy Museum LEGO Minifigure Trading Event

If you’re in the Burlingame/San Mateo/San Francisco area on Saturday, October 26th, we have something that may interest you. Gary Doss, the Curator of the Classic Toy Museum, has reached out to us to tell you about a LEGO Minifigure Trading Event they are holding at the museum. Bring in any of your duplicate minifigures and trade them with other visitors at the museum to build up your collection. The event is held at 214 California Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010 at the Burlingame Museum of PEZ Memorabilia from 1pm-2pm. During the trading event, you will also have free admission to the museums.

LEGO Seasonal Decorating the Tree (40058)

Images of the new LEGO Seasonal Christmas 2013 polybags are now revealed. There’s still no word on pricing and availability at this time but looking at the pieces included, they could be LEGO store exclusive polybags. (see below)

The Decorating the Tree (40058) polybag consists of 110 pieces and has two minifigures, a Christmas tree, a ladder, and some presents and toys.

The Santa Sleigh (40059) polybag consists of 77 pieces and has two minifigures as well. It also has a brick built reindeer and a sleigh filled with presents.

Update: Bricking Bad has notified us that the two polybags will be $7.99 each and will be available on November 1st. They also have a couple of images of LEGO Exclusive Baubles you can hang on your Christmas trees.

Images of some new characters have been revealed for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game including Taskmaster, Pyro, Power Man, Polaris, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic in his Future Foundation costume, Malekith, the Statue of Liberty, Iron Fist, Havok, the comic version of Electro, Absorbing Man, and Kurse.

Update: Superior Spider-Man also makes an appearance.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game

A day after the PC demo for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game went live, the Xbox 360 version is now available for download as well. Head over to Xbox Live to get your free demo right now. The PlayStation 3 version will be available at the PlayStation Store later today. We’ve already demoed the PC version of the game and our review is already live. LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes The Penguin Face-off (76010) First Image

Over on Minifigs.net forums, a user by the handle kikiwihk has revealed the first image of the box art for the LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes The Penguin Face-off (76010). Although it is pretty small, you can clearly see Batman and his Batboat as well as the Penguin in his Duck flotation vehicle. There are also two brick built penguin minions as well. Like I mentioned before, this set looks very similar to the ending of Batman Returns. It looks pretty good so far for a $13 set.

Today, the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game PC demo became available for the public. I spent some time playing it and also doing a recording of the gameplay. My laptop isn’t specced for gaming so there might be a little lag in the video. The controls I used were the default ones.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Demo Silver Surfer

The beginning cutscene “shows” unknown being eating the LEGO, Marvel, WB Games, and the Telltale logos after they blown up. After he finishes eating, he tells the Silver Surfer to find him something else to eat. The game starts off with the Sandman and the Abomination taking over Sand Station Central and wanting the Cosmic Bricks. Iron Man comes into the action along with the Hulk. Throughout the demo, you can the hear some voiceovers from Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson. Initally, you take control of the Hulk and Iron Man. You can switch between the two by pressing (U). Each character has an Action/Attack (H), Jump (J), and a Special Move (K). The Hulk’s moves are pretty simple. He just smashes stuff and even yells the phrase when you do a jump attack. You can even do the move he did to Loki in the Avengers movie where he flings him around. I must say that it is pretty spot on. You can do that move by getting close to an enemy and pressing Action/Attack (H). There’s also a cool animation where he punts the minion away.
