If you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the highly-elusive LEGO Minecraft (21102) set, now is your chance. LEGO has restocked the sets on Shop@Home and buyers will now have a purchase limit of 5 per household instead of the usual 1 they had before. The set has 480 pieces and still retails for $34.99.
Last year, many LEGO fans were excited to hear that the LEGO Castle theme will be making it’s return in 2013. The German Toy Fair in Nuremberg has kicked off and Joe Meno of BrickJournal is there and has taken pictures of the new LEGO Castle sets for Brickset. Here you can see the box art of the King’s Castle (70404) set. There are also many minifigures displayed from the renewed Castle line. The Castle line is set to return August 2013. What are your first impressions of the set on the box and the closeups of the minifigures?
Update: Flickr user, Fedro Photo has taken a picture of the actual King’s Castle set as well as a side view of the Dragon Mountain (70403) set. In the background, you can see a glimpse of The Gatehouse Raid (70402).
A couple of days ago, we reported of a new Iron Man minifigure from the 2013 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. Eurobricks has posted another Iron Man minifig and this looks like the new MK XLII (42) suit. As you can see in the image below, the one on the right looks drastically different from the on the left which makes me think that the one we reported earlier could be the Heartbreaker suit. The Mark XLII suit has torso printing that looks very similar to the one we saw at Comic Con 2012. The only downside is that it does not have any arm printing. So what do you think of the MK XLII Iron Man minifigure?
USA Today has posted a couple images of the new LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Superman Metropolis Showdown (76002). This is a new version of the Superman minifigure and is based on the Man of Steel movie starring Henry Cavill. The set also contains General Zod, played in the movie by Michael Shannon, in his black suit. Other parts of the set includes an antenna tower and a yellow vehicle. The Superman Metropolis Showdown will be available this summer and will retail for $12.99. What do you think of the look of this smaller set?
YourCreativeFriends continues with their reviews of the LEGO Legends of Chima sets with Target Practice (70101). This set has 101 pieces and retails for $14.99, around $0.15/piece. The set has Equila as the featured minifigure and comes with one instruction booklet and 5 game cards. What’s interesting about this set is that you use the Speedorz to hit the eagle dart and have it shoot at the targets. Take a look at the video below to get a feel of how the set work.
Stud from YourCreativeFriends has informed me there are now images of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 2013 minifigure. My guess is that the minifigure is from the Iron Man Malibu Mansion Attack (76007) set but I can’t confirm that as of this time. From my knowledge of the Iron Man comics, Tony Stark wears a different suit in the Extremis storyline so it might not be the minifig in the Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle (76006). In the Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Battle (76008), the set mentions Heartbreaker suit but I can’t find an image to compare it to. Could the minifig be wearing the unseen Heartbreaker suit? The suit on the minifig looks a lot like the one seen in the beginning of the Iron Man 3 trailer but not sure which version of the suit it is. If any of your readers recognize the version, let us know in the comments below. Again, thanks to YourCreativeFriends for this news.
Update: After seeing Minifigures’ comment and confirming with a friend who’s into the Iron Man comics, the suit in question could be a version of the Mark V portable suit.
After seeing many discussions on what the suit could be, we’re still not totally sure what the suit is called. It looks similar to other suits but there are subtle differences. We’ll just leave naming the suit in the air until we have confirmation.
Earlier this month, we reported that there will be a new massively multiplayer online game developed by WB Games Montreal called LEGO Legends of Chima Online. BrickUltra has revealed images of what the game looks like in it’s current state. The game is free-to-play and it allows players to create and customize their world. From what we can see from these preliminary images, the graphics looks pretty darn good. What do you think of the game so far from what you see?
