The LEGO Movie MetalBeard’s Sea Cow (70810) Revealed

The LEGO Movie MetalBeard's Sea Cow (70810)

Well now this is unexpected! Carlos S on Eurobricks has posted an image of the box of one of The LEGO Movie sets from the summer 2014 wave, MetalBeard’s Sea Cow (70810). It contains 2741 pieces and will probably be priced around $200 and could be a D2C (Direct to Consumer) set. As you can see, you get five minifigures including Emmet, Wyldstyle, a smaller but complete version of MetalBeard, Benny, and Vitruvious. You will also get a double-decker couch, Queasy Kitty and a flying cow. Yes, a flying cow! We’ll give an update as soon as there are more details.

Update: The set is now available in LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home for VIP members.

The LEGO Movie Johnny Thunder Minifigure Close Up Look

Untitled

A few days ago, we found out that Johnny Thunder would be making his return in a future LEGO Movie set in the Police Dropship after an 11 year absense. In the image provided by just2good from the The LEGO Movie: The Essential Guide, we can see that Johnny has a cleaned up look with some updated printed on his torso as well as his head. Everything looks more crisp and his eyes even has larger pupils. His building style describes him as an expert in building for survival in the wilderness. Also, there is no hiding place too dangerous or remote for him.

In the same image, you can also see the Green Lantern. There’s no mention of him being in a set at this time but there were rumors that he would be in one in 2014. His building style is described as he is able to build almost anything out of thin air using a special, super-powered ring (Green Lantern Ring/Power Ring). Additional notes says that he likes to be near Superman.

The LEGO Movie Cloud Cuckoo Palace (70803) Review

In our first official review for The LEGO Movie sets, we have the Cloud Cuckoo Palace (70803). When I first saw images of this set, I was confused yet intrigued. Although the set has a lot of “girly” colors, they are so vibrant and insane that I was very interested in it. Plus the Unikitty alone is enough to make me choose to review this set first. The set contains 197 pieces and retails for $19.99 for a $0.10/piece ratio. The box contains four unnumbered bags and a small instructions booklet.

LEGO Friends Series 5 Animal Set Images Found

Somehow this piece of news went by unnoticed by us over the Christmas holiday. The official images of the LEGO Friends Series 5 Animal sets were posted on Eurobricks a few days ago. Similar to Series 4, this series will also have three different animals you can collect. These sets should be available sometime in 2014.

LEGO Minecraft Co-Build Update

LEGO Minecraft

The LEGO Minecraft team has posted a video giving an update on how fans input has helped them so far in different aspects of the Co-Build project. In the video, they have shown some new prototypes of the Creeper, sheep, and cow. The team also revealed that the desert biome was the one fans preferred more but they will keep working on both the desert and the jungle. This may hint that both biomes may be a set in the future. Finally, they have shown which mine cart fans liked the best. If you have any questions you want to ask the designers, feel free to post them on Facebook, the message boards on LEGO.com or in the comments section of the video.
