LEGO Super Mario Summer 2024 Sets Introduces New Box Art

Last month, LEGO announced some new LEGO Super Mario sets coming this August but we only had the product images. German retailer Lucky Bricks has posted some product listings for these sets and they have also provided the box art for them. As you can see, the boxes have drastically changed from previous sets with the more white and red color scheme and they look more like standalone ones and not advertising too much on the course building expansion.

LEGO Fireworks Celebration (40689) Upcoming GWP Revealed

The LEGO Building Instructions page has revealed a picture of the upcoming LEGO Fireworks Celebration (40689) gift with purchase set. The set features the fireworks exploding in the night sky with fireworks launching in the foreground. There’s also a couple of minifigures included as well. Given that an image of the set is now available, we can assume that it’ll be released in May although the price requirements are still unknown at this time.

LEGO Ideas Sewer Heroes: Fighting the Fatberg – Overtime Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Sewer Heroes: Fighting the Fatberg – Overtime by MOCingbird is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is the same one as the one that also hit 10k back in 2022 and it features a 360 degree cutaway of an urban underground showing sewer workers fighting the fatberg.

LEGO Star Wars 25th Anniversary Video Teases Upcoming Minifigures

LEGO has released a short video celebrating 25 years of the LEGO Star Wars theme and it looks like they have teased some new minifigures that we could be getting later this year. At the end of the video, there’s a very quick photo op of all of the Star Wars minifigures that LEGO has made so far but there are also some new ones in the picture as well including Ahsoka’s Ezra Bridger, Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi game series, Nien Numb, and Young Leia from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The characters have been rumored to be in various sets later this year.

The Portal 2 Quantum Tunnelling Device. The “Portal Gun” by Hooded-Blaze is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is a physical replica from Portal that has been redesigned from the original submission that also hit 10k.
