LEGO Insiders Officially Launches – Treasure Hunt Announced

Today LEGO has officially launched LEGO Insiders which is the rebranding of the old LEGO VIP Program. If you haven’t heard about it, you can read more about it here but essentially, it’s basically the same thing as before but you have more ways to earn points. All of your existing points have been rolled over to LEGO Insiders you can still use them for discounts, collectibles, sweepstakes, and more.

To celebrate the launch of LEGO Insiders, LEGO has also kicked off a Treasure Hunt in which you have a chance to win 1 million points in addition to other prizes as well. From nonw until October 2, all you have to do is use the app to scan LEGO bricks to find a golden LEGO brick and reveal a prize. There’s a very slim chance to to be one of six winners of the million point prize or you can get instant digital downloads and more.

LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures Series 2 (71039) Review

One of the more anticipated sets for me this year are the LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures Series 2 (71039) which introduces a new wave of characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The set releases on September 1 for $4.99 each and they include characters from Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, as well as my most hyped show, X-Men ’97.

LEGO Announced for Target Fall Geek-Out 2023

Earlier this morning, it was announced that Target will be having their Fall Geek-Out 2023 where they will have various drops for collectibles including LEGO. Starting next Friday and every subsequent Friday after that from August 25 through September 29, there will be drops from major toy manufacturers and LEGO will having theirs on September 1.

There’s no announcement yet on what we can expect LEGO to release but since it’s a new month, it could be one of their many September releases. LEGO could even shock us by dropping one of their LEGO Ideas x Target sets they have planned. The Viking Village would be a good guess since it was the first LEGO Ideas x Target set that fans voted for.

LEGO Ideas Train Bookends Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Train Bookends by Jimmi-DK is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 1,038 piece build features a train making its way through a tunnel with the locomotive on one end and the carriage on the other.

LEGO DREAMZzz Dream Village (40657) Review

Next up on our reviews of the LEGO DREAMZzz sets, we’ll be checking the Dream Village (40657). It’s one of the smaller sets in the wave coming in at 434 pieces and it retails for $29.99.

Minifigures

The set does include a minifigure of Jayden. He has on his usual purple pajama set with the unicorn printing on the torso. His double-sided head shows him having braces with one side of his head sleeping.

There is also three Dreamlings in this set, the Blacksmith, Baker, and Wizard. The Blacksmith has a full beard going on along with long slicked back hair tied up in the back. His accessory is a hammer.

The Baker has on a toque which is the white chef’s hat. His accessory is a whisk.

Lastly, we have the Wizard who also has a full beard but in white. He also has the blue wizard hat that we’ve seen before and a tan wand.

Build

The build is pretty straightforward. There are three small buildings that you build separately which include the bakery, magic shop, and the blacksmith workshop. The bakery has a little table out front filled with goodies and on the inside, there’s a pretzel on a table. On the walls are spots for a knife and a cleaver. The bakery has a windmill attached to the front of the roof. The chimney uses hinges to get the curved shape. On the inside of it, there’s a little bed for Jayden.
