The Steampunk Airship by BrickHammer is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas again. This is the exact same project that hit the goal last year but was rejected when it was grouped up with 56 other projects in the First 2021 Review Stage.
The project now joins The Forestmen Secret Inn, The Legendary Concorde, Wild West Mine, LEGO Koala, LEGO Toilet, and Mini City Diorama: London with Underground Station! as the ones to reach the First 2022 Review Stage.
LEGO has just released some of the new 2022 LEGO BrickHeadz for purchase on the LEGO Shop. The Lion Dance Guy (40540) and the two Pets which includes the St. Bernard (40543) and the French Bulldog (40544) are now available after a short delay for North America. In July 2021, LEGO released a statement on pausing the LEGO VIDIYO theme until further notice and today, LEGO has announced that the theme will indeed be discontinued. The past few months the LEGO VIDIYO team has been testing new ideas for the theme to make it a sustainable business but it turns out that it wouldn’t work. LEGO will be discontinuing the theme on January 31 but the app will still be supported for another two years. You can read the official statement below.
In July 2021 we decided to pause the LEGO VIDIYO roll-out to review performance and test new ideas. Through the extensive quantitative and qualitative research we have undertaken in the previous months, we have gained an enormous amount of learnings in terms of the music & content creation space and what it would take to succeed with the play experience, our go-to-market strategy in 2023 and not least how to build a sustainable business based on the VIDIYO experience.
Based on these insights we have decided to discontinue the physical VIDIYO products from January 31st 2022 but will continue to support the app experience for another two years to serve those consumers who have bought the products.
We still see great potential in pursuing music as a passion point and we will take learnings from LEGO VIDIYO as we continue to explore future fluid play experiences.
The Mini City Diorama: London with Underground Station! by John Harvey is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build features a little city that fits all on a 16×16 baseplate.
The project now joins The Forestmen Secret Inn, The Legendary Concorde, Wild West Mine, LEGO Koala, and LEGO Toilet as the ones to reach the First 2022 Review Stage.
It has been announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will officially be released on April 5. The game has been in limbo for a few years due to COVID but it’s now ready to go. The Deluxe Edition for the game will include the Character Collection Bundle Pack and details for that have also been revealed.

There are finally some new details for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga coming out of Amazon Mexico. The Deluxe Edition of the game will include a Character Collection Bundle Pack and it has been revealed that it will contain characters for The Mandalorian Season 1 & 2, The Bad Batch, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Classic Characters, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Trooper Pack. The new image shows Din Djarin and Grogu, Jyn Erso, and Hunter.
The release date for the game is still under wraps but a leak on the Microsoft Store suggests that the game will released on April 5 however there haven’t been any official announcement yet.
There are some LEGO Art alternate building instructions that you can download in the Rewards Center. Although these particular instructions have been online for a while now, they were posted under the About page for the LEGO Art theme and you had to go to each set to find the instructions. In the Rewards Center, you can just download them from a single area without having to search for them.
For the World Map (31203), you can also build either Europe or a map Denmark with its pieces. For Mickey Mouse (31202), you can build alternate views of Mickey and Minnie. Finally, for the Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests (31201), you can create the Golden Snitch, Platform 9 3/4, or Hedwig.
