LEGO Employees to Get Bigger Bonuses and More Vacation Time

LEGO has seen some decent growth in terms of sales and revenue so far this year and it looks like it company is passing the rewards to employees. Bloomberg has reported that LEGO will be giving its employees bigger bonuses and more vacation days. More than 20,000 employees will get three more vacation days and the annual bonuses will be bigger as a thank you for their contributions. We already know how generous LEGO is to employees with employee gifts during the holiday season and other bonuses so it’s nice to see that they continue to reward employees and not just at the top level like with other major retailers.

LEGO Ideas Castle Outpost Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Castle Outpost by xXgGhostXx is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is a traditional castle and it measures 43x56x37 studs. The interiors are fully accessible including the towers. The project also proposes nine minifigures as well with the knights inspired by the Series 20 Tournament Knight.

LEGO Foundation Donates 7.1 Million Danish Kroner to German Red Cross

Back in July, there were major floods in Europe and one of those countries that was affected included Germany. Today the LEGO Foundation has announced that they will be donating 7.1 million Danish Kroner (960,000 Euros) to the German Red Cross in efforts to help support reconstruction of schools and building a family aid center. This is LEGO’s ongoing humanitarian contributions to help crises around the world.

Billund, November 23rd, 2021: People in flood-affected areas in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, are still struggling with rebuilding their lives three months after the flooding. “The water is gone, but the need for relief efforts and aid continues unabated,” says Karen Pascha-Gladyshev, Managing Director of LEGO GmbH, referring to the flood disaster in July, which destroyed several German villages entirely.

The LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation have now announced a donation of 7.1 million Danish Kroner (DKK) (960,000 Euros) granted to the German Red Cross (DRK) for the reconstruction of ten kindergartens and the build-up of a family aid center. “We care for the well-being of children around the world and hope that this contribution will help children and families locally in the affected areas of North-Rhine Westphalia,” says Pascha-Gladyshev.
