LEGO Ideas The Riverside Scholars Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Riverside Scholars project by Hanwasyellowfirst is the latest one to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,500 piece build features a large structure on the river which includes an observatory tower and also has four minifigures.

The project now joins Land Ahoy, Terrariums, Great Coral Reef, Hyrule Castle 30th Anniversary, Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Avatar Returns, Clockwork Solar System, The Dojo, Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage, Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Shop, Motorized Johnny 5, James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), The LEGO Emergency Box, LEGO Rubik’s Cube (Working), and Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 99th Precinct, Steampunk Explorers, Moominhouse ムーミン屋敷, Castle Outpost, Downtown Records, The Meeting Point, LEGO Ghibli, Baba Yaga, Soyuz Rocket, Orchid, and Pirate Tavern as the ones to reach the Third 2021 Review Stage.

LEGO Seasonal Mr. and Mrs. Claus’ Living Room (40489) GWP Officially Cancelled

Usually there are two LEGO gift with purchase sets during Black Friday but for this year, there was only one. The other set was supposed to be Mr. and Mrs. Claus’ Living Room (40489) which was never released and we now have the reason why. The set has been officially cancelled and LEGO has released a statement about it.

We decided not to release this product as it didn’t meet our strict quality standards. Because we work so hard to provide the best possible play experiences, we never compromise the quality of our products.

LEGO Build Together BETA Announced

LEGO has revealed a new BETA building experience that will be on the LEGO Building Instructions app called LEGO Build Together. This new building experience allows multiple people to build a particular set in an innovative way. The idea came from Dominik Brachmanski who pitched it last year and the BETA will be launching on December 13.

The experience can be used up to five people and each person needs to have the app installed on their phone or tablet. At launch, there will be six products supported on the BETA which includes:

• 60292 LEGO CITY City Town Center
• 60291 LEGO CITY Family house
• 60302 LEGO CITY Wildlife Rescue
• 10270 LEGO Creator Expert Bookshop
• 31097 LEGO Creator 3in1: Townhouse Pet Shop & Café

The LEGO Group launches BETA ‘Build Together’ experience, a fan-built innovation that provides new ways to physically build LEGO sets together as a group

The LEGO Group today unveiled a new BETA building experience that will soon be available on the LEGO® Building Instructions app, called Build Together. The innovative feature opens a new dimension of interactive building, designed to multiply play value while turning LEGO building into a social, cooperative activity, that both families and friends can enjoy together.

The Pirate Tavern by Revan New is the latest one to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The tavern takes place on an island called Tortuga and it is a mix of pirate and steampunk themes.

LEGO Ideas Orchid Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Orchid by JamesZHAN is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The original design was displayed at the LEGO House Masterpiece Gallery and the new one includes a couple of orchids in a a brick-built vase.

LEGO Boutique Hotel (10297) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially revealed the next modular set with the Boutique Hotel (10297). Releasing on January 1, the set has 3,066 pieces and retails for $199.99, €199.99, £179.99. The set celebrates 15 years of the modular line and there are Easter eggs in the set that references the previous sets.

December 6th: Today, the LEGO Group reveals a luxurious new address with the LEGO® Boutique Hotel set (10297), the latest addition to the modular building collection. Colourful and quirky, the new 3,066 piece LEGO Boutique Hotel is full of character and details that will have fans stepping back in time to a by-gone era.

In 2022, the LEGO modular building collection celebrates its 15th anniversary and the new set is the 17th LEGO set to be released, joining the LEGO Bookshop, LEGO Assembly Square and LEGO Police Station. The LEGO Boutique Hotel is also full of Easter Eggs and references to the previous 15 years of modular building sets, many of which are revealed in the building instructions, meaning fans will have an exciting time discovering hidden gems while they build.
