LEGO Seasonal Santa’s Sleigh (40499) Official Images

There are now official images of the upcoming LEGO Seasonal Santa’s Sleigh (40499) coming out of Malaysian retailer Mr Brick Hunt. There’s still no details about the set at this time but hopefully it’ll be available in October when the other 2021 Christmas Seasonal sets are released. We do, however, get a good look at the back of the sleigh where it does open up to revealed a compartment.

Thirty Four Projects Qualify for LEGO Ideas Second 2021 Review Stage

The qualifying period for the LEGO Ideas Second 2021 Review Stage has now ended and there were 34 projects that hit the goal of 10,000 supporters. Land Ahoy barely missed the deadline to get in last night so it’ll be part of the Third 2021 Review Stage instead which will end on January 10, 2022. There is a good mix of original ideas and licensed ideas so it’ll be interesting to see what LEGO chooses to become the next LEGO Ideas set.

The project that qualified for the Second 2021 Review Stage include Imperial Island Fort, Movie Set, Lifeguard’s Shack, A-Frame Cabin, Spaceballs, The Costume Store, Boston Dynamics Spot 1:4 Scale Motorized Model, Medieval Tavern, Tavern Under the Snow, Women of Computing, Working Mini Golf Course, Brick Walk, Medieval Harbor, Floating Island (Using Tensegrity), Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Aircraft Engine Workshop, Airport Firetruck Rosenbauer PANTHER 8×8, GameStop Classic Shop, Traditional German Cottage, Outer Solar System, Knight Rider: KITT and the FLAG Mobile Command Unit, Jaws, Basement & Sewerage, Nyhavn – Copenhagen, Denmark, John’s Medieval Watermill, Carl’s House, The Nanny, Minas Tirith, The Apartment, The Medieval Fortress (Castle), House of Time, The A-Team: Van and Crew, and Log Cabin.

LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) Promotion Now Live – September 2021

The promotion for the LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) gift-with-purchase set is now live again on the LEGO Shop. You can get it with purchases of $85 or more until September 12, while supplies last. The set was first released back in June but VIPs can get their hands on it again. In addition, the promotion does stack with the LEGO FC Barcelona Celebration (40485) when you purchase Camp Nou (10284).

LEGO Ideas Land Ahoy Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Land Ahoy project by Ralf Ranghaal is the latest one to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It features an ocean scene with a ship and some land but it also includes a nice feature that we haven’t seen before in previous projects. The ocean can be rolled up for a nice looking effect which you can see below.

Update: The project just missed the deadline to get into the Second 2021 Review Stage so it is the first one to reach the Third 2021 Review Stage.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Repulbic Gunship (75309) Designer Video

The LEGO Star Wars UCS Repulbic Gunship (75309) has been out for a month now and LEGO has just recently released the designer video for the set. LEGO Designer Hans Burkhard Schlomer talks about some of the details in the set including some of the features the gunship has. Fans have been hard on LEGO on this particular set due to the number of errors that it has and it shows with the number of dislikes the video has however it doesn’t stop fans from buying it as it is now temporarily out of stock on the LEGO Shop.
