LEGO Ideas The Sewing Workshop Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Sewing Workshop by Bricky_Brick is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is based on the European style building from the 1800s and the floors are able to be removed to access the interiors. It also proposes six minifigures.

The project now joins The Shire, the Hobbithole of Frodo and Bilbo Baggins, Among Us: The Skeld Detailed Map, The Office, Castle of Lord Afol and the Black Knights, The X-Files: I Want to Believe, The House of Chocolate, The Simpsons – The Krusty Burger, Asterix and Obelix, 4½-Litre 1927-31 Bentley ‘Blower’, Scania Next Generation S730, The Karate Kid “Wax On, Wax Off”, Hyrule Castle (The Legend of Zelda), Metroid: Samus Aran’s Gunship, NASA’s SLS & Artemis, Lego Bookends, Animal Crossing: New Horizons Paradise, Claus Toys, Baba Yaga, The Castle of Brickwood Forest, A Nice Day at the Farm, and The Forth Bridge as the ones to reach the First 2021 Review Stage.

LEGO World Builder Women of History Banner Project

For those who are artists, LEGO World Builder is looking for people who can create some banner art depicting some of the most extraordinary women of all time as LEGO minifigures for their image library. Three designers, at minimum, will be greenlit, and upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will each receive $250 as compensation. You can read the full list of rules in the link above.

A variety of genres, sub-genres, and mashups make up the LEGO World Builder platform. And now is your chance to contribute your ideas. Just take a look at the world tags on the left side of the Discover page. You can choose from Action, Adventure, Escape, Magic, Science Fiction and many more! How best would you introduce these icons in minifigure form? Sally Ride was the first U.S. woman in space, but perhaps there are greater adventures for her across the universe. Mix and match genres for your banner images . . . Let your imagination roam, because you can submit up to 5 entries!

At this point, you may be wondering what exactly is a banner image. A banner image is the first thing people see when exploring an architect’s world on the LEGO World Builder platform, along with the world’s title and genre tags – so it’s important that the image itself makes a strong, visual impression and motivates people to click in and explore the world. You’ll notice after visiting the Discover page that you probably feel more compelled to click into worlds
