Returning LEGO Ideas Sets with New Set Numbers Now Available on LEGO Shop

If you remember from a few weeks ago, we talked about some retired LEGO Ideas that have been retired but will be re-released with new set numbers. Both the NASA Apollo Saturn V (92176) and the Ship in a Bottle (92177) are now available to be purchased again with their new set numbers. The sets are at the same price they were at before and nothing about them has changed besides the set numbers.

LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) Designer Video

A few days ago, LEGO dropped the designer video for the LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290). LEGO Designers César Soares and Madison O’Neil talks about some of the details that you can find within the set. One interesting fact is that César had already done a brick-built sketch way back in 2016 when he started at LEGO. Madison also already had a lot of pre-designed characters ready to go just for this set. You can check out our review of the set here.

LEGO Clarifies “Collaboration” with Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Yesterday, LEGO released some new LEGO DOTS patterns for Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons. People started speculating if LEGO would be doing more with the Animal Crossing franchise and LEGO has released a statement about it. In short, no, LEGO won’t be doing anything much more than that with ACNH at this time. Keep in mind, there is a LEGO Ideas project that is in review and there’s a chance that it could be an official set in the future. Fingers crossed. Check out LEGO’s statement below.

Hi everyone –

You might have seen yesterday that we announced we were adding new LEGO DOTs patterns in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I’ve been asked by our PR team to clarify that this isn’t a partnership or a collaboration with Nintendo – but rather LEGO DOTS tapping into ACNH, as other brands have done. We haven’t directly worked with Nintendo on this (I know it’s confusing).

We are working with Nintendo for LEGO Super Mario of course, but not for ACNH.

Hope that makes sense!

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Black Widow Taskmaster’s Ambush (77905) May Restock Soon

A few days ago, Amazon gave everyone a surprise and dropped the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Black Widow Taskmaster’s Ambush (77905) and many of you managed to pick one up in the few hours that it was live. If you signed up for the Amazon Treasure Truck, you may have seen the text come by and it said “get it early” from Treasure Truck. I believe there was a three day exclusivity through Amazon for the promotion and this most likely means there will probably be another release on November 1. Keep in mind, the previous San Diego Comic Con 2020 exclusives were also released on the LEGO Shop so keep an eye out there as well.
