LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System Set Teaser

A short while ago, LEGO posted a teaser for what appears to be the Nintendo Entertainment System. As we know, LEGO now has the license to produce Nintendo related products including LEGO Super Mario so it’s no surprise that they will be releasing a set on the system he became widely famous on. From the silhouette, you can faintly see that it comes with the NES along with a controller and a TV. No word on when it will be released by I’m guessing August.

No LEGO Panels at San Diego Comic Con 2020 @ Home

San Diego Comic Con 2020 has been officially cancelled but in its replacement, they have announced that there will be virtual panels held on all four days. The programming schedule for the days have been released and surprisingly there will be no LEGO related panels. That doesn’t mean that LEGO can’t or won’t be doing their own things on their social media channels.

Usually, LEGO shows off some products for the following year and it’s possible they could still do that. As for the exclusives, I have no idea if they will be doing any giveaways or selling any sets online if they already have things planned for SDCC so it’s just a wait and see situation.

The whole COVID-19 pandemic has put a hamper on things and San Diego Comic Con was the most anticipated event for me every year. I’ll missing driving to the convention center and doing all the LEGO related events including waiting in line for the LEGO exclusives. Hopefully we’ll get to see something that gives us our fill as a replacement for not going.

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed Ghostbusters Update Coming Soon

For those who are still playing LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, there will be some new content coming soon for the game with a Ghostbusters update. They have already revealed Peter Venkman and Ray Stantz and has a teaser for Winston Zeddemore. Egon Spengler will also be added as well according to the teaser image above.

For me personally, I’ve been still playing it since launch and have been grinding away trying to get some of the newer characters. It’s been a taking a while since I’m purely free-to-play and haven’t spent any money on it. I think the main thing that holds players back is that the game doesn’t give enough coins for missions and upgrading characters take a lot of coins. Also the RNG is somewhat bad because I’ve had days where I don’t get any character tiles for someone I’m leveling which makes it more difficult to level up. Hopefully, Gameloft addresses these issues in the future.

LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) Restocking at LEGO Brand Stores

The LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) has been extremely popular to the point where it has been sold out on LEGO Shop@Home since its release. I’ve been told that various LEGO Brand Stores have restocked in limited quantities. I can’t say which stores have it or not because each has different restock schedules. The best way to see if your store has it is to use the “Check Store Stock” feature on the product page above and double check by calling the store. If you are going out, take precautions and stay safe.

LEGO IKEA BYGGLEK Products Found in Germany

Way back in June 2019, LEGO announced a partnership with IKEA for BYGGLEK which are some new products that stimulate play around the home. We haven’t heard anything about it since then until today when Promobricks has shown off the first products that are now available and have been found in Germany. BYGGLEK so far consists of three products of various sizes as well as a LEGO set. The small box (26x18x12 cm) costs 12.99 euros. The medium sized box (35x26x12) costs 14.99 euros. There is also a combi box that goes for 9.99 euros. The LEGO BYGGLEK (40337) set costs 14.99 euros.

So far the only known place the LEGO IKEA BYGGLEK can be found is in Mannheim, Germany. There’s no word yet on when or where the new range of products will be available in other countries and they can’t be found online either.

What do you think of the first products for this collaboration? Is it what you expected or did you expect to see more color?

LEGO Ideas International Space Station (21321) on Sale at LEGOLAND Shop

The LEGO Ideas International Space Station (21321) is currently on sale over at the LEGOLAND California online shop. It is priced at $62.99 which is just 10% off but keep in mind that this set hasn’t been on sale before until now, even on Amazon. The International Space Station has been in the news recently as NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley arrived there using the first commercially built and operated spacecraft by SpaceX.
