Chronicle Books LEGO Stationery Product Review

LEGO Brick Erasers & Note Brick

Today, we are looking at some LEGO products that are not your standard bricks you can build with but some newly released stationery products from Chronicle Books. First off, we have the LEGO Brick Erasers which retail for $15.95 for a pack of eight and the come packaged in a nice little pull-out holder. They are stylized in the classic 2×4 bricks and have a more pastel hue to them instead of your traditional colors. They aren’t connectable because there are no holes at the bottom but they do have the LEGO logo on the studs. I guess this is a good compromise because they are erasers and they would disappear more quickly if there were holes.

LEGO Education Announces First LEGO League RePLAY Season

LEGO Education and the First LEGO League has announced their 2020-2021 season theme and it is called RePLAY. The tasks for this theme is health, sports, and fitness. There are also some new sets to be used for each division which you can see below.

LEGO® Education and FIRST® are excited to unveil RePLAY, the new 2020-2021 FIRST® LEGO® League season theme, with a short video on social media. For the new season, students will complete tasks related to health, sports, and fitness. Team registration for all three age divisions is now open for the season launching on August 4, 2020.

Once again, students will be tasked with completing a challenge designed in partnership with a panel of experts using a variety of LEGO Education products, including LEGO Education WeDo 2.0, LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3, and the newest LEGO Education SPIKE Prime and SPIKE Prime Expansion set.

A keen eye may notice that with the new season, FIRST LEGO League is introducing a simplified program structure with three divisions: Challenge (ages 9-14), Explore (ages 6-10), and Discover (ages 4-6). While the branding will change, the program’s impact and experience remain the same. Through the three divisions of FIRST® LEGO® League the 2020-2021 PLAYMAKERS and RePLAY season will reach nearly 500,000 children, ages 4 to 16, from 100+ countries.

I recently heard an incredible story that highlights the lasting impact of FIRST LEGO League and how the skills participants learn extend well beyond the season. Started by a New Jersey FLL coach, a network of students, coaches

40419 and 40419 minifigure packs

Brickset has revealed some new LEGO Minifigure Accessory Sets that will be available starting on June 1 including Avengers and Harry Potter. LEGO Ideas LEGO HeroQuest Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Lego HeroQuest is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It is based on a popular board game from the 90s and it is a recreation of the original one within the 3,000 part limit. I’m not too familiar with the game but it does include a lot of minifigures to represent the characters.

It now joins The Mountain Windmill and Community – Greendale Community College as the projects to reach the Second 2020 Review Stage.

More LEGO Super Mario Sets Found

Slovak site Svetmodelov.sk has posted more product listings for upcoming LEGO Super Mario theme. They are loosely translated so they aren’t very accurate. It looks like these are to customize the Mario device to other costumes that he has worn in the franchise. I’m curious to see if Flying Mario is Raccoon Mario or Cape Mario. As of now, we still haven’t seen much out of the theme but hopefully we get some more details soon. It was rumored that LEGO was to reveal more about it during San Diego Comic Con but we’ll see what happens now since SDCC moved to a virtual format for this year.

LEGO City Beach Buggy (30369) Polybag Review

LEGO City Beach Buggy (30369)

LEGO’s next promotion on LEGO Shop@Home starts tomorrow with the LEGO City Beach Buggy (30369) polybag. The promotion runs from May 18-31 and you can get it for free with purchases of $40 or more, while supplies last. The polybag has 45 pieces and it features a basic orange buggy along with a surfer minifigure. Note that the torso for the minifig is quite rare at this time and can only be found in one other set which is the Minifigure Set Summer Celebration (40344). That set is now retired so this polybag is the only to get the torso design unless you go do Bricks & Pieces or on the secondary market. One other part to highlight is the teal surfboard.
