LEGO Announces LEGO Super Mario Set Details

LEGO has officially revealed details of the upcoming LEGO Super Mario theme. Available to pre-order today, the Starter Course retails for $59.99 and will be available on August 1. LEGO also announced two expansion sets with the Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set for $29.99 and Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set for $99.99. BILLUND, April 7, 2020: The LEGO Group today announced pre-order availability of the LEGO® Super Mario™ Adventures with Mario Starter Course. Fans can now secure their own set of this upcoming and highly anticipated new product line, the result of a unique partnership with Nintendo. The new LEGO Super Mario product line features an interactive LEGO Mario figure that collects coins in real-life game levels created with LEGO bricks. Neither a video game nor a traditional LEGO brick-based set, it promises to change the way people interact with Super Mario in the physical world and engage in LEGO experiences.

Disclosed for the first time today by LEGO Design Lead Jonathan Bennink, fans will be able to begin exploring the fun-packed LEGO Super Mario universe with the Adventures with Mario Starter Course. This entry point set to the world of LEGO Super Mario is needed to unlock expansion sets and features seven action bricks for different interactions with the LEGO Mario figure that are only included in this set.

LEGO Wonder Woman 1984 Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah (76157) Set Revealed

Amazon Spain has revealed a brand new LEGO set for the Wonder Woman 1984 movie with the Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah (76157). The set has 371 pieces and is priced at €39.99. The set features a bunker along with a satellite and it has minifigures of Wonder Woman in Golden Eagle Armor, Cheetah, and Maxwell Lord.

Update: It appears this set is a Target exclusive and stores are starting to sell it.

LEGO Super Mario Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set (40414) GWP

It looks like LEGO Shop@Home has unintentionally revealed another set for the upcoming LEGO Super Mario theme. It is called the Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set (40414) and it has 163 pieces. It looks to be a free gift-with-purchase set judging by the set number. I’m going to assume you get it for free with a purchase of the Starter Course.

Fans can enjoy toppling Stone-Eye and launching Monty Mole while creating new challenges with this LEGO® Super Mario™ Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set.

The Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360), featuring the LEGO® Mario™ figure, is required for play with this Expansion Set.

LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia – New Edition Releases Tomorrow

Brickworld Announced Brickworld Virtual LEGO Convention

LEGO convention season was supposed to kick in soon but due to stay-at-home mandates around the world, many events have been postponed or cancelled. The folks at Brickworld is doing something original for fans who want to get their LEGO fix from the comfort of their own home. They have launched Brickworld Virtual which allows fans to see interactive live feed of LEGO creations by various builders and it will be held on Saturday, April 18. There are only 1,000 tickets sold for this event and the general admission for one device is only $5. Head over to the link above to see all the builders and vendors that will be doing Brickworld Virtual.

Brickworld Virtual will be held on April 18th from noon – 6 PM Eastern Time.

It will feature LEGO artists and engineers showing their creations via Zoom meeting rooms. It will include vendors working with you via Zoom meeting rooms. And, a new twist to the Brickworld public shows will be a presentation room where you can learn from the experts.
