Expanding the LEGO Winter Village Book Review

Expanding the LEGO Winter Village

I’ve been sent over a copy of a brand new book that came out called Expanding the LEGO Winter Village by Charles Pritchett which gives you some builds to help supplement your Winter Village setting. The book has 150 pages and it is currently available for purchase on Paperback and for the Amazon Kindle.

There are six different builds that are provided which include step-by-step instructions along with the list of parts and quantities needed to create that particular model. The colors are very bright and easy to distinguish and I will say that it might be better than the colors used in official LEGO instructions for sets.

There’s also a short read on how to get the parts if you don’t have them already. Obviously this section is for LEGO fans who just got into the hobby as most seasoned veterans already know the ins and outs on how to do it.

As for the builds, there’s a Town Fountain, Horse & Sleigh, Classic Car, Old Truck, Photos with Santa, and Ski & Snowboard Shop. Each build shows you how many parts are needed and the dimensions of the model. As I said before, the instructions are very clear and the finished models are actually very good looking ones that can easily integrate into your Winter Village.

Again Expanding the LEGO Winter Village is now available for purchase on Paperback and for the Amazon Kindle. Thanks to Charles for sending over a copy for me to look at.

LEGO SDCC 2019 Exclusive Zebra Batman Minifigure Revealed

LEGO DC SDCC 2019 Zebra Batman

LEGO has just revealed another exclusive SDCC 2019 minifigure giveaway with the Zebra Batman. It will be available as part of the randomized instant-win draw on Saturday, July 20. It’s a bummer that LEGO has decided to reveal more exclusives this late as most people have already pretty much finalized their exclusives they want to get in on and they will probably now have to change their schedule around.

LEGO DC Batman – Family Matters World Premiere Panel at SDCC 2019

LEGO DC Batman - Family Matters

The Sunday schedule for San Diego Comic Con 2019 is now live and the last day is mostly centered towards the younger audience and there will be one panel for the world premiere for LEGO DC Batman: Family Matters. The panel will be held in Room 6BCF from 2:15-4:15 pm. The description of the panel doesn’t show there will be a giveaway for being in attendance but usually they give something away during a LEGO animated movie. Hopefully it’s not the Ultimate Batmobile polybag from The LEGO Batman Movie.

Batman, Robin, and Batgirl must stick together even when Gotham’s most dangerous villains attempt to pull them apart in LEGO DC: Batman: Family Matters, the latest animated adventure in the LEGO DC series. Witness the World Premiere of this action-packed, brick-tastic adventure that will be followed by a star-studded panel of actors and filmmakers, including the voices of Batman, Batgirl, and Robin—Troy Baker (Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman: Arkham Origins), Alyson Stoner (Phineas and Ferb) and Scott Menville (Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!)—along with Jason Spisak (Young Justice) as Red Hood, Tara Strong (Batman: The Animated Series, Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!) as Batwoman, and Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop, Star Wars Rebels) as Scarecrow. Filmmakers include producer Rick Morales (LEGO Scooby-Doo!: Haunted Hollywood), director Matt Peters (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis), and screenwriter Jeremy Adams (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Flash). Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC, and the LEGO Group, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros.

New LEGO Content Releases Panel at SDCC 2019

It’s been fairly quiet regarding LEGO panels at San Diego Comic Con 2019 but the Saturday schedule just went live and we finally have the first one to talk about. There will be a New LEGO Content Releases panel which is kind of a misleading title because you would think it would be talking about LEGO sets but it’s actually going to talk about upcoming LEGO animated content. It will be held in Room 6A at 11:15am-12:15pm and LEGO producers Jason Cosler and Robert May will share some new stuff coming out soon. The Q&A session will be moderated by Joshua and John Hanlon from Beyond the Brick.

Go behind the scenes and get a sneak peek of upcoming LEGO animation. Jason Cosler (LEGO producer) and Robert May (LEGO producer) will be sharing exciting new LEGO animated content and hold a Q&A session moderated by Joshua and John Hanlon (Beyond the Brick).
