LEGO Ideas NASA Spacecraft Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Nasa Spacecraft by Micro_Model_Maker is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The model features four iconic NASA spacecrafts including the Discovery Shuttle, Hubble Telescope, Pioneer 10 Probe, and Viking 1. All of them are pretty detailed considering the size and they also come with stands.

The project now joins UCS Space Shuttle Atlantis, Thunderbirds Are Go, Gravity Falls Mystery Shack, Pursuit of Flight, History Museum, The Office, Medieval Blacksmith, Japanese Tea Garden, and Winnie the Pooh as the projects to reach the Second 2019 Review Stage.

Way back in 2014, CrazyBricks launched a KickStarter for the highly successful Munchkin Bricks project and they are now back with Munchkin Bricks 2. If you’re not familiar with Munchkin, it is a card game which is pretty popular among enthusiasts and CrazyBricks has made some accessory pieces from the game. Some of these accessories include:

1. Helm of Super Speed – from Super MUNCHKIN
2. Spyke’s Hammer – from Classic MUNCHKIN
3. Hammer Handle – a stout and noble handle suited for such a powerful Mallet
4. Foam Rubber Hand – from Super MUNCHKIN
5. Gear Beer – from MUNCHKIN Steampunk
6. Shakespeare’s Pike – from MUNCHKIN Shakespeare
7. Dragon Flagon – from MUNCHKIN Dragons
8. Hello Chibithulhu – from MUNCHKIN Cthulhu – So CUTE!
9. E.L.T.H. / Excessively Large Top Hat – from The Good the Bad and the MUNCHKIN

There are also a number of stretch goals to unlock as the project reaches a certain threshold of supporters. As of this writing, it is about 80% funded with 14 days to go on the KickStarter.

LEGO Hidden Side App Now Available

To prepare for the official release of the LEGO Hidden Side sets here in the US tomorrow, LEGO has also launched the LEGO Hidden Side app. You can now download it for Android and for iOS for free. The app is augmented reality based and you can use it alongside the sets to make them come alive on screen. There are a number of ghosts that you can fight and collect within the app. I’m sure many will not bother with it as the sets will be popular since it’s horror themed but it’s additional features that kids can enjoy.

The LEGO Movie 2 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! (70840) is back on sale over on Amazon. It is currently priced at $266.85 for the Frustration-Free Packaging which is 11% off the regular price of $299.99. This deal isn’t as good as the one earlier this month but a deal is a deal on any D2C sets. Also keep in mind that various LEGO stores have sales on some of the older The LEGO Movie 2 sets to make way for some of the new stuff that is coming out in a few days.

LEGO has released the August 2019 Store Calendar and we can now see some of the upcoming promotions and events for the month.

August 1-7: Free LEGO Jurassic World Baby Velociraptor Playpen (30382) polybag with purchases of $35 or more on LEGO Jurassic World sets, while supplies last.

August 1-14: VIPs only. Free Reversible Tote Bag (5005910) with purchases of $200 or more, while supplies last.

August 1-31: LEGO Lab Demonstrations. There are live demonstrations using Technology, Robotics, Interactive, and Powered-Up sets.

August 4: Free LEGO Friends Mia’s Water Fun Pack (30410) with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last.

August 6: LEGO Harley Davidson building event. Signups start on August 1 in-store only. Registration is required and there are limited quantities. Intended for ages 18+.

LEGO Releases Building Instructions for SDCC 2019 Exclusive Sets

I’m not sure if this was a response to us or just pure coincidence but LEGO has released the building instructions for all three San Diego Comic Con 2019 exclusive sets. Usually LEGO doesn’t do this as none from previous years have been released by LEGO themselves but from the fan community. Anyways, you can download them in high quality below.

The set has has 271 pieces and it features the experimental ship along with some exclusive minifigures such as the Captain Marvel in the Vers uniform, Maria Rambeau, and the Flerken Goose.
