Amazon Prime Day is coming up pretty soon and it looks like there are already some good LEGO deals going on. They currently have LEGO Harry Potter Aragog’s Lair (75950) for only $9.49 which is 37% off the normal price. This is a great way to grow your spider army if you doing that for whatever reason. LEGO has kicked off another building contest on LEGO Ideas and it’s a space themed one for a great selection of prizes. Going off the real life Moons to Mars mission, LEGO would like you to create a space vehicle that you think could make it to Mars. Barnes & Noble has opened up the signup form for the LEGO Harry Potter Golden Snitch building event on July 13. It will be in-store at 2pm local time and the parts and building instructions will be provided when you get there. There is a limited number of spots available at each store and signup is required for each attendee.
July is here and that means new LEGO sets and promotions are now live on LEGO Shop@Home. First is the Double VIP Points promo that is running from now until July 7.

Today is the last day to get your orders in on LEGO Shop@Home if you want to get the LEGO Ideas Space Rocket Ride (40335) set. It is available with purchases of $99 or more until 11:59 EST. The new lineup of summer 2019 sets should also be available when the promotion is supposed to be over tonight so you can potentially get the new sets while also the promo is still live. I suggest checking in at that time to see if that is the case.
A few days ago, the LEGO Stranger Things Castle Byers building event was held at LEGO Brand Stores around the US. If you remember, the build was originally at the Flatiron and Leicester flagship stores when The Upside Down (75810) was released.
The build is pretty straightforward with it just stacking bricks. The outer part of it uses some brown antenna pieces to represent the sticks that are on the outside of the castle. There’s a flag for the cloth used as the entrance but the interior is empty. I do like the addition of the tire sitting on the outside of it. The main thing here are the exclusive stickers for Castle Byers and the All Friends Welcome sign. These were given after you finished the build but if you’re building it with your own bricks, there are some available on eBay.

I do appreciate LEGO doing this building event for the rest of the US as many fans were pretty vocal about having it at only two stores around the world. I do feel bad for those who paid $100+ on the secondary market to get it though.
