A few days ago, we got the official images of the LEGO Ideas Space Rocket Ride (40335) but we didn’t have the promotion details except for the release date. The product page for the set is now live on Shop@Home and we can now report that it will be available from June 5-18 with purchases of $99 or more, while supplies last. That means that the release of the new LEGO Creator NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266) will coincide with the promo but you’ll have to wait a few days. I’m still waiting to hear about the details of the patch. Thanks to chips99 for the heads up!

LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253) More Official Images

Earlier this month, LEGO announced the LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253) and now more official images of the set have been uploaded to LEGO’s servers. The set will be available starting on September 1 and it will have 1,177 pieces. Using those pieces, you’ll be able to build three different droids including R2-D2, the Gonk Droid, and the Mouse Droid and you won’t need any other BOOST sets to get it up and running.

Now that the LEGO Creator NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266) has been announced, we can now also talk about a potential promotional item that has been listed on LEGO’s servers for the set. A few days ago, an image of the LEGO Apollo Lunar Lander Patch (5005907) was uploaded and it shows the Lunar Lander on top of a moon baseplate. There’s no word on what type of patch it is whether it is sew on, iron on, or sticker. We’ll have the details once the new month rolls around in a few days.

LEGO designer Lars Joe talks about some of the details that are included with the Lunar Lander. The set will be available starting on June 1 at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home.

LEGO has officially revealed the next direct-to-consumer LEGO Creator set with the NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266). The set has 1,087 pieces and will retail for $99.99 and it will be available starting on June 1. You may have seen images of the set online and able to be purchased at certain retailers the past week or so but we can finally show it off while respecting the embargo.

The set was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission in which Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. Although the set doesn’t name the two astronauts, they do include two minifigures to represent them.

There are five days left on the LEGO Ideas 10 Year Anniversary Fan Vote. There are four projects to choose from and one will be guaranteed to be made into an official LEGO Ideas set. It was stated that all four projects had a 100% certainty that LEGO knew they could produce over other projects that also achieved 10,000 supporters and it is up to you to make the final choice. Voting will end on June 4.
