Continuing with today’s build for the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253), we have one of the most parts intensive builds for this calendar so far. Coming in at 27 pieces, today’s build is a hybrid bird which looks like a combination of a chicken and a turkey. The color scheme is decent but the olive green slope and the gray angular plate pieces seem out of place. Other than that, it’s a decent looking model.

The LEGO pods that have been released this year seem to be pretty popular and it looks like there will be some more coming soon. A Reddit user has found two more LEGO Ninjago pods that has showed up at LEGOLAND California. These new pods featuring Jay (853758) and Cole (853759) are now in cardboard packaging instead of a polybag like with Kai. THe builds include an armor rack along with their respective weapons.
Usually products that show up at LEGOLAND first will be available later at either LEGO Brand Stores/Shop@Home or other retailers like Toys R Us so we’ll see what happens with these two new Ninjago pods.
If you’re in the UK, you may want to swing over to Hamley’s as there’s an exclusive LEGO minifigure that you can pick up there. As reported by Bricksfanz, the store will have their own Royal Guard minifigure polybag that retails for £6.00. This version of the character is slightly different from the Series 5 Collectible Minifigure. It’s worth picking up if you’re a collector of exclusive polybags.
We’re down to the last ten days of the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) and hopefully we’ll be seeing some exciting builds as we count down to the final days. For today’s build, we have a good looking lamppost that honestly could be used in your Winter Village layout. There’s nothing much to it as the lamppost sits on top of a 2×2 jumper plate. There’s also a couple of wreaths for decoration as well.
The promotion for the bonus 100 VIP points for all LEGO Star Wars purchases is now live on Shop@Home, minus keychains, magnets, books, etc. This promotion is for US and Canada and will run until December 24. For Europe, your guys’ promo Double VIP Points.
This promotion takes the place of the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod (5005376) which was cancelled due to the pod not meeting LEGO’s strict standards and they had to pull the plug before they went to customers.

There will be more LEGO Seasonal sets coming in 2018 and another one that has been uploaded to the servers is a new Wedding Favor (40197) set. It contains 132 pieces and will most likely be priced at $9.99. The set features a bride and groom and a new buildable backdrop unlike the previous 853340 set where it only had a cardboard cutout and it expands on the
LEGO has uploaded a new LEGO Seasonal set featuring some Flowers (40187). There are two flowers in this 100 piece set, a red rose with a white vase and a daisy in a red vase. This is a nice little gift set that you could give to a loved one during Valentine’s Day. There’s no price point or release date but I assume it’ll be $9.99 and be available at the beginning of the year.
