If you’ve been looking for the LEGO Star Wars Kessel Mine Worker (40299) and weren’t able to find it at Barnes & Noble during the promotion a few weeks ago, LEGOLAND California has you covered. You can get for $2.99 each as well as DJ (40298) for the same price. They also have a promotion for the Mudtrooper Han Solo with purchases of $35 or more. LEGO has released the designer video for the upcoming LEGO Ideas Pop-Up Book (21315). LEGO Designer Wes Talbott and Graphic Designer Crystal Marie Fontan talk about some of the details and processes that went into the Pop-Up Book. One interesting thing that Wes mentioned was that there was little change from the original fan project to the finished product.
The LEGO Ideas Pop-Up Book will officially be available starting on November 1, but if you didn’t see my post from earlier this week, there will be a signing event this Saturday at the Washington Square Shopping Center in Tigard, Oregon.
The new LEGO FORMA campaign is soon coming to an end on Indiegogo as there are only 15 days left in the campaign. As of this writing there are already 5,539 perks that have been claimed so far which is 1,107% over their original goal. The best deals are the Super Boxes which includes the base Koi Model (81000) as well as the three different skins, Shark (81001), Splash Koi (81002), and Ink Koi (81003). There are less than 600 Super Boxes left for the US market and 300 for the UK market. The LEGO FORMA campaign will end on November 6 and the sets will be delivered in January 2019.
Lars Silberbauer has announced that he has left The LEGO Group to join MTV Digital Studios as Senior Vice President. For the past seven years, Lars has been with LEGO and his most recent position was Senior Global Director of Social Media and Video. He was known for transforming LEGO social media presence from literally nothing to being one of the most successful ones on the web.
Back in 2014, Lars launched LEGO TV in 24 different markets and now the LEGO YouTube Channel gets more than a billion views a year. This is on top of the traffic that the LEGO Facebook Page gets which is approaching 13 million likes.
Huge news has come out of Target as they have uploaded the official images of the upcoming LEGO Overwatch sets. They were actually fairly hard to get I had to jump through several hoops to get them but they are public and can be easily found through the Target Registry App.
There are six sets in the wave, both minifigure scale and brick-built so there’s something for everyone. There are, however, some more or less popular characters that are not included like my main, Lucio. Hopefully there’s another wave so we can at least get the full roster lineup.

Here’s a nice surprise that has recently showed up on LEGO’s servers. The new 2018 LEGO Seasonal Reindeer Head Christmas Ornament (5005253) has been uploaded to the servers and that means more than likely the exclusive ornament will be a gift-with-purchase set this holiday season.
There are no details on the availability at this time it’s nice to see it return after taking a year off last year. We’ll most likely see how to get it when the December 2018 LEGO Store Calendar comes out in a few week. Below are my reviews of the LEGO Christmas ornaments from the previous years.

LEGO will be holding a signing event for the upcoming release of the LEGO Ideas Pop-Up Book (21315) this Saturday. On October 27 from 11am-3pm at the LEGO Brand Store at the Washington Square Shopping Center in Tigard, Oregon. This event allows you to meet both the fan designers of the set, Grant Davis and Jason Allemann, as well as purchasing the set a few days before the official release date on November 1.
