LEGO Star Wars Imperial TIE Fighter (30381)

We’ve already seen all the official images of the LEGO Star Wars Solo: A Star Wars Story including the two accompanying BrickHeadz sets. If you’re a theme completionist, there’s also a polybag that will be coming out for Solo which is the Imperial TIE Fighter (30381). This version has 42 pieces and it is the fourth version of a TIE Fighter as a polybag. There’s no word yet on availability of it at this time.

The Brick Fan Subreddit

Facebook recently has been making changes that don’t necessarily help page owners and with the recent news of the data privacy scandal, it’s time to make some changes around here. A few days ago, I start my own subreddit where I can post there without it not being seen by users as Facebook sometimes does. Some of you may have already subscribed to it when I posted on social media that I created the subreddit.

The subreddit also allows users to easily post their own content where without having to go look around FB on how to post on a particular page and it’s chronological, a very good feature.

Anyways, feel free to join the subreddit and connect on there as well. It looks pretty plain but I’ll change out the layout when I have time. Again, thank you everyone for your continued support as we keep evolving.

DK has recently released a new book for young readers with visual impairment called DK Braille: LEGO DUPLO: Farm. This is the first LEGO book of its kind and teaches young children using both braille and tactile images. It is now available for purchase on Amazon for $14.99.

A high-quality LEGO DUPLO book with braille and tactile images for blind and partially sighted parents and children to share with their sighted family members. Produced in consultation with braille experts, this LEGO DUPLO board book explores LEGO DUPLO farm animals such as pigs and cows, and vehicles, such as tractors. It combines high-contrast colors with embossed images of the models for children to feel. Large-size text is printed alongside the braille, enabling sighted children to share the bonding experience of reading with their visually impaired parents, or for sighted parents to share with their visually impaired children.

LEGO Ideas TRON: Legacy (21314) BrickBros UK Review

Earlier today, LEGO revealed the LEGO Ideas TRON: Legacy (21314) set and the BrickBros UK have already done a review of set. If you don’t know, the BrickBros UK are the submitters of the original design on LEGO Ideas. The set will be available starting a day early on March 31 with the UK having a special signing event at the Leicester Square LEGO Brand Store on March 29.

Downloading from Devon, England, brothers Drew and Tom are the talented fan designers behind the LEGO® Ideas Tron: Legacy set.

Tom and Drew’s small childhood collection of LEGO bricks inspired them to come up with their own scenarios and builds. In designing their LEGO Ideas project, “We went through several models before settling on a design we both liked. We wanted to get the scale of the Light Cycle to minifigure right, and the overall colour scheme had to reflect the Tron feel.”

LEGO Objects to Toys R Us Liquidation Sales

Toys R Us’ bankruptcy court hearing was yesterday and they’ve announced that the going out of business sales will being Thursday for the rest of the stores with it running until June or earlier if inventories sell out quicker. Toys R Us says they are working to make the maximum payments they can to the vendors as well as the banks as they are starting to close down more than 700 stores. They are also wanting to stop more than $450 million in payments to suppliers which is a move that will hurt smaller toy companies on their books.

According to a report by Reuters, there are more than 50 vendors, including LEGO, that have objected to the liquidation. Obviously LEGO would like to have their products back instead of having it sold at lower prices in order to make payments to the banks. This corresponds to the memo that I reported on seeing the other day that lists LEGO on the “Do Not Liquidate” list but there are also reports that some stores have listed LEGO sets at 10% off which are probably the older ones.
