LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me (41597) Revealed

Yesterday at the New York Toy Fair, we saw a few new products coming down the pipeline but the most interesting one to me that I want to feature is the new LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me (41597). You basically have the mascot of the BrickHeadz line, Nonnie, as well as a number of parts to customize it to your liking.

Coming in at 708 pieces and only retailing for $29.99, this set is a great deal and an even better one if you’re just buying it for a parts pack. As you can see from the image below, there are a number of different parts ranging in a variety of colors. Some of the more interesting parts are the new elements for glasses which includes round and square eyeglass frames. There’s also a sticker sheet to give more detailing to your BrickHeadz as well.

Thanks to BZPower and Zusammengebaut for providing the images.

LEGO Wins Three Awards at 2018 Toy of the Year Awards Gala

The 2018 Toy of the Year winners were announced yesterday just ahead of the New York Toy Fair and I’m happy to say that LEGO wins big again this year. LEGO was nominated in five categories this year including:

Collectible of the Year – The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures (71017)

Construction Toy of the Year – LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (75187) / LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean The Silent Mary (71042)

Creative Toy of the Year – LEGO Make Your Own Movie

Specialty Toy of The Year – LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

Tech Toy of the Year – LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox (17101)

LEGO picked up three awards last night for LEGO Star Wars BB-8 as the Construction Toy of the Year, LEGO Boost for Tech Toy of the Year, and the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon for the Specialty Toy of the Year. This is the second year in a row that LEGO has won for Construction and Specialty Toy of the Year.

With some of the new LEGO products coming out this year, I’m sure we’ll be seeing LEGO again on the ballot in a few categories and they have a great chance for the coveted Toy of the Year award.

LEGO Unikitty! Sets Announced for August Release

LEGO Unikitty!

LEGO has officially announced that we’ll be getting some LEGO Unikitty! sets as well as a collectible series this August based on the Cartoon Network animated series.

The sets are numbered from 41451-41455 and the collectible series is 41775. Note that it doesn’t say “collectible minifigure series” so perhaps they are the rumored Mixel type builds for each of the characters in the show.

Nothing more is known at this time as they were not shown off at the 2018 New York Toy Fair. It is possible that we’ll most likely see them at San Diego Comic Con in a few months.

It’s not Mr. Gold rare but it’ll still be obtainable. This wave is to commemorate 40 years of the LEGO minifigure and the Series 18 LEGO Collectible Minifigures will be available starting in April.

The Cowboy Costume Guy is a total goofball! After all, he did come to the party dressed up as a cowboy riding around on a horse.

The Spider Suit Boy isn’t really into parties, but he loves any chance to surprise, or even scare, his fellow Minifigures.
