LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine (21358) Minifigure Details

The new LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine (21358) was revealed yesterday and we have some additional information about the 16 minifigures that are included in the set. Each of them has their own unique story and they’re pretty interesting because some of them reference characters from classic themes like Space, Fabuland, Castle, Pirates, and Paradisa.

The two most normal looking ones are the ones for the LEGO Ideas designer with a cool printed logo torso and one for Rob the fan designer of the set.

Some new factions for the Castle theme were revealed with the Griffin Knights and the Kraken Warriors.

Paradisa makes a surprising return with the Beach Bro and the Beach Bae who are both rocking Paradisa summer tops with 92 on the back which references 1992, the first year of the theme.

The Classic Space theme gets in on the fun as they are now in pearl-gold as well as teal colors.

Fabuland also gets referenced as there are costume characters for Elton Elephant and Bernard Bear, both also having printed Fabuland torsos.

Lastly we have the Pirates theme which has grown-up versions of Bo’sun Will and Camilla which are characters from the LEGO Pirates Comic (6255).

BIONICLE: Masks of Power Officially Cancelled

For eight years, the devs over at Team Kanohi has been hard at work in making BIONICLE: Masks of Power but that has changed as the game has been officially cancelled. In a statement that has been released, it seems that The LEGO Group has asked for the fan-made game to be shut down entirely and basically erase it from the public eye.

It was mentioned that there had been no issues with LEGO and they even endorsed it in their Bits N’ Bricks podcast three years ago. The only reason that Team Kanohi thinks why LEGO wanted them to shut down the game was it was easy to mistake it as an official LEGO product.

Team Kanohi has been renamed to Unmasked Games and the plan now is to use the knowledge from making BIONICLE: Masks of Power to create a new game codenamed Project Rustbound.
