LEGO Back to the Future DeLorean New Rumors for 2022

Earlier this year, there was a rumor of the LEGO Creator Back to the Future DeLorean that was supposed to be released in the fall but that eventually turned out to be the LEGO Pickup Truck (10290). There are now new rumors from Promobricks that will instead be coming in April 2022. Reported to cost 169.99€, the DeLorean will have set number 10300 and will be exclusive to LEGO until July where it’ll be available elsewhere.

Furthermore, the details for the DeLorean include it being able to change from the original look from the first movie to the hover conversion design from 2015 with the folding wheels. Of course, you’ll also have the other iconic details of the DeLorean such as the OUTATIME license plate and the flux capacitor. Marty’s Mattel hoverboard is also said to be included. We’ll see if minifigures of Marty and Doc Brown are included but it’ll be a shame if they aren’t.

As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces them or images show up at an online shop.

LEGO The Brick-Changer Float Returns to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Two years ago, LEGO introduced The Brick-Changer float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and it will make its return this year for those who didn’t see it. The Brick-Changer is basically part turkey and part dragon that gives families a sense of how LEGO’s colorful bricks have inspired creativity and play in kids. This year’s performer on the float is Zoe Wees and also sort of a missed opportunity for LEGO VIDIYO’s L.L.A.M.A to make an appearance.

LEGO Recycled Brick Named One of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2021

Yesterday, TIME announced the top 100 Best Inventions of 2021 and LEGO was revealed to be part of the group due to their sustainability commitment and creating the first recycled brick. Back in June, LEGO revealed the first prototype LEGO brick made from recycled plastic. The new brick uses PET plastic that used discarded bottles and it took over three years for it to meet their quality, safety and play requirements. It’ll still be a while before we see the recycled bricks in sets but it’ll make a huge impact on the environment when they start rolling out.

LEGO Rebuild the World #BuildtoGive Campaign Returns

Today, LEGO has kicked off their 2021 Rebuild the World #BuildtoGive campaign where your builds will help children around the world. With every star built and shared on social media before the end of December, LEGO will donate a LEGO set to a child in need, giving children in hospitals, children’s homes, and vulnerable communities the chance to play this holiday season.

This is the fifth consecutive year that LEGO has done the campaign and last year they donated more than 1 million sets. They are looking to top that goal this year for 1.5 million children. The sets will be distributed through LEGO’s network of local charity partners in 29 countries around the world.

The LEGO Group asks families to build a star and make a difference

Through #BuildToGive, the LEGO Group is encouraging families to get creative and help bring the joy of play to 1.5 million children in need.

Billund, November 4, 2021: For many people around the world, the holiday season is a time for togetherness and laughter, but for a lot of families it can be a challenging period. To help make the holidays brighter for children in need of play, the LEGO Group is encouraging everyone to grab their bricks, build a star – small, big, or wonderfully weird – to help pass on the joy of play as part of its Rebuild the World #BuildToGive initiative.

For the fifth consecutive year, #BuildToGive will once again invite fans and families to come together and get creative to make a difference.

New LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster Set Rumored for 2022

Rumors are starting to heat up more on the LEGO 2022 sets and it looks like there will be a new LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster coming next year. According to Promobricks, there will be an updated one based on the Mark XLVIII – Hulkbuster Mk II which was used by Bruce Banner in Infinity War. Like with the Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105), it will include an infomation plaque. The piece count is said to be around 2,500 which is almost double from the previous version and that could make it more pricier as well. As all rumors go, try to temper your expectations.
