LEGO Classic White Baseplate (11010) Official Image

Last month, we reported that we will be getting a LEGO Classic white baseplate and it looks like there’s now an image of the packaging for it. As mentioned before, it will be product number 11010 have a price point of $7.99 but what’s interesting is that it doesn’t seem to be 32×32. Counting the studs across, it seems that it will be 30×30 instead. The white baseplate will join the lineup of other LEGO baseplates which includes Green, Blue, and Gray for next year and will be great for snowy landscapes.

Update: A few readers have correctly assessed that it will be 32×32 according to the image at the bottom.

LEGO Ideas Voltron (21311) Costco Sale

If you’ve been holding off on a good sale for the LEGO Ideas Voltron (21311), Costco currently has a sale on it that is one of the best I’ve seen. It is on sale for only $114.99 which is 36% or $65 off the normal price. I doubt that we’ll see any sales that are better than this before the end of the year so get it while you can. I will not guarantee that every Costco will have Voltron available but it’s worth checking out. It is one of the many sets that is marked to be retiring by the end of 2019. Thanks to Mariann for the heads up.

Manchester United Announces Product Partnership with LEGO

It looks like LEGO has partnered up with the Manchester United football team to release some new products next year. Details of the partnership are fairly vague but a spokesman from the team stated,

Our partnership with LEGO is a licensing agreement. More information on the partnership and some exciting new products will be released in the new year.

This is the second time that LEGO has struck a partnership with a football team with the first one being the DFB German National Team (71014) from 2016 which was only available in Europe unless you get it from the secondary market. I assume the LEGO Manchester United products will also be available in Europe initially and the rest of the world later on since LEGO won’t do regional exclusives anymore but we’ll see.
