Even More LEGO BrickHeadz Rumored for 2018

LEGO BrickHeadz

Last week, I talked about some of the upcoming 2018 LEGO BrickHeadz sets which included the new Justice League, Back to the Future, and Minecraft as well as some Wizarding World BrickHeadz sets as announced during the New York Toy Fair. I’ve just received some new information for even more BrickHeadz sets from other themes that will be coming later this year. These BrickHeadz sets will encompass Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Frozen, and Star Wars.

First for the Wizarding World BrickHeadz, there will be two sets, one possibly of Newt Scamander and a two pack most likely consisting of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.

For Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, it is rumored be a two pack as well. The characters will most likely be of Owen and Claire but I’m hoping for one of them to be Ian Malcolm.

For Frozen, there will be two sets, one with Elsa and another two pack of Anna and Olaf.

Lastly for Star Wars, there are supposedly four sets in the pipeline which include Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, and a two pack of Luke Skywalker and Yoda.

As always, these are purely rumors unless LEGO announces them or they are revealed on online toy shop product pages.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet Update

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet

A lot of you who have purchased the LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) from Walmart in hopes of getting the free collectible booklet have asked whether others have gotten it or not even though they’ve submitted their receipt weeks ago. I’ve seen one or two images of the booklet online but the majority of readers who have contacted me have not received theirs at this time.

For me, I submitted my receipt on January 30 and haven’t gotten anything back so far. I’ve emailed customer service and they’ve escalated my case to an “account manager” to look into it. I’ve had others who have emailed in who have also contacted customer service and they stated that the booklets are actually shipping out today, February 26. I’m not sure if this is the case for everyone but it’s worth contacting [email protected] to see what’s going on. Thanks to Fergus for the update on this.

In similar news, there’s only two days left to purchase the LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) to be eligible for the booklet if it ever releases. Overall, it’s been somewhat short of a disappointment of how LEGO/Walmart has handled this 60th anniversary promotion so far from this booklet issue to the release of the three limited edition sets. Hopefully there’s still something up LEGO’s sleeve for the rest of the year.

LEGO Dimensions Expansion Packs Available Again at 99 Cents Only Stores

LEGO Dimensions Beetlejuice Fun Pack (71349)

Last year around this time, 99 Cents Only Stores started carrying various LEGO Dimensions including Fun Packs and Team Packs. It looks like they’re doing it again this year as a number of stores around the country are selling them again for only $1.99 each which is a great deal on some retired and soon to be retired expansion packs. All of the packs are still currently working even though LEGO Dimensions has been officially cancelled but there will be no new content. It seems that the 99 Cents stores have different inventories so I can say for sure which store has what so you’ll have to check out what your location has.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary Initial Look

LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary

We haven’t talked about any LEGO books in quite a while but it looks like there’s now an image of the upcoming LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary that is slated to come out later this year. It is basically an updated version of the LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes: Batman Visual Dictionary but this book will include pretty much everything LEGO DC-related that has been released from the past few years. You’ll also notice the blank space for an exclusive super hero minifigure which is basically the main draw for most fans. There’s no word yet on who this character is but hopefully it’s somebody that we haven’t gotten before. Chances are it’s another variant of an existing character but it’s fun to guess. Who do you think this exclusive minifigure will be?

Anyways, you can now pre-order the book on Amazon and it’ll be released on September 4. You also get the Amazon pre-order price guarantee where if the price drops after you place your order before the release date, you’ll only pay the lowest price that it’s offered at.

LEGO Ranks #6 on Fast Company’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies Consumer Electronics List

Fast Company has released their list of the 2018 edition of the World’s Most Innovative Companies and LEGO was named as the #6 company out of 10 under the Consumer Electronics category. The main reason for that LEGO was honored in this category was because of boosting children’s coding skills by the way of LEGO Boost. LEGO Life, which was launched last year, also contributed to the company being named in the Consumer Electronics category. This app allows children to share their creations online in a safe environment. Check out the press release that LEGO has released regarding the honor.

LEGO Group earns no. 6 spot on list of Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Consumer Electronics

NEW YORK (February 20, 2018) – Fast Company today announced its annual ranking of the world’s Most Innovative Companies (MIC) for 2018, honoring leading enterprises and rising newcomers that exemplify the best in business and innovation, which includes the LEGO Group at number six on the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Consumer Electronics list. Editors noted that the iconic toy brand made the list for boosting children’s coding skills.

In 2017, the LEGO Group introduced two significant innovations to further bridge the divide between physical and digital play: LEGO® BOOST and LEGO® Life.

LEGO BOOST is a super-charged LEGO set that lets children as young as seven years old bring their LEGO creations to life through a simple, app-based coding language. Embracing a “fun-first” vision, LEGO BOOST empowers children in both the physical and digital creation of
