LEGO Creator London Bus (40220) Available for Purchase at LEGOLAND California

June 19, 2017 / Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

If you missed out on the LEGO Creator London Bus (40220) last year and you’re near LEGOLAND California, you may be in luck. I’ve been told that they have received a shipment of them and are selling them outright for $12.99 each. This is way better than what you can expect to find currently on eBay.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

The London Bus was originally free with purchases of $75 or more at LEGO Stores and on Sop@Home. This is also a good time to pick it up especially with a rumored Double Decker Bus (10258) coming in July as they pair up well.

LEGO set 6856 Planetary Decoder comes from the 1996 Exploriens series. A theme that relied on Trans-Red and Trans-Dark Blue to view printed and stickered elements in different ways, Exploriens had both a “big ship” and a “base.” Akin to M-Tron and Futuron, Exploriens were the neutral space faction of the year.

LEGO Creator Double Decker Bus (10258) Rumored for July VIP Release

June 13, 2017 / Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

If you saw my post about the July 2017 LEGO Store Calendar, VIPs will be getting early access to an exclusive set and it looks like we may know what it is. Hoth Bricks is reporting that the D2C set will be the LEGO Creator Double Decker Bus (10258). The bus will be a larger version of the London Bus (40220) which we got last year.

If this rumor is true, it continues a trend of having regular sets as well as a smaller promotion set of the same vehicle. We first saw this with the Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220) with the mini 40079 set then with the Volkswagen Beetle (10252) with the smaller 40252 version.

If the LEGO Creator Double Decker Bus (10258) is indeed coming out in July for VIPs, we should expect official images and the designer video in the next few weeks.

Update: The LEGO Creator London Bus (10258) has been officially announced. You can check out the details in my other post.
