LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog Theme Announced – Four Sets in 2023

According to Licensing Biz and Stuff, there will be a new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog theme with four new sets coming this year. It is a spinoff from the LEGO Ideas Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone (21331) from last year but you can’t connect them in a modular way.

Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge (76990) – 292 pieces/$34.99

Includes Sonic, a brick-built Moto bug and Sonic’s Flicky friend. There’s also the launcher, an arch, gold rings, a ramp, and a beach chair and DJ mini-builds.


Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane (76991) – 376 pieces/$39.99

LEGO has officially revealed the LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 (42156) which we got a first look at yesterday. Releasing on May 1, the Peugeot 9X8 has 1,775 pieces and will retail for $199.99. The LEGO Group has announced that the company has broken ground on the Virginia carbon-neutral run factory. Set to open in 2025, the $1 billion investment will create 1,760 jobs and is currently recruiting for 500 positions. LEGO has also committed $1 million to support local organizations by providing children from disadvantaged backgrounds with Learning through Play experiences.
