LEGO Rebuild the World Celebrates Problem Solving

LEGO has launched a new iteration to their Rebuild the World campaign which celebrates problem solving. In a newly released film, it shows a Knight trying to cross a bridge but fails to until the town comes together to figure out a way across. Be sure to keep a close eye around the 0:42 mark where you can spot an Easter egg that fans really want in LEGO form.

New LEGO® campaign shows how creative problem solving can reunite and Rebuild the World

Billund, September 20th, 2021 – The LEGO Group has launched a playful new iteration to its global Rebuild the World brand campaign. Now in its third year, the 2021 Rebuild the World campaign celebrates children as the masters of creative problem solving and shows what can be achieved when people work together to overcome differences or challenges.

The main film is centered on the story of a Knight whose attempts to cross a river to see a friendly bear keep failing. Seeing the Knight’s dilemma, a whole town comes together and pools their varied skills, perspectives and talents to find a way to reunite the friends. As the Knight finally conquers the river crossing, the film playfully reveals how the story and the solution to the challenge have been imaginatively conceived by a group of children building, unbuilding and rebuilding through LEGO® play.

The LEGO System in Play has long been the ultimate platform for creative problem solving. Just as the children in this campaign come together to build and test different solutions,

LEGO Technic Land Rover Defender (42110) Zavvi Sale – September 2021

If you’re looking for a great deal on the LEGO Technic Land Rover Defender (42110), Zavvi currently has it on sale for about 23% off the regular price. They have it listed for $154.99 plus free shipping when you use the code LEGOROVER during checkout. This has been the lowest I’ve seen the set priced at. Before was on Amazon when it was only 20% off on and off the past year.

LEGO Japan Teases Bricktober 2021 Sets

LEGO Japan has released a teaser for what could be the upcoming LEGO Bricktober 2021 sets. The video shows a brick-built book with the caption “once upon a time, somewhere.” As we know by now, the Bricktober promotions have mainly been centered in the Asian markets in the month of October. North America used to have them at Toys R Us but there’s been nothing here ever since the toy store chain shut down a few years ago in the US. LEGO Stores and the LEGO Shop usually don’t have anything going on for Bricktober which is a shame since there’s no alternative to getting them besides the secondary market or if you have connections.

LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs Rumored to be Returning in 2022

There’s a new rumor that LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs will be returning in 2022. According to Promobricks, the popular army builder sets will be coming back next year with one reportedly being a Hoth Battle Pack (75320) releasing in January. It is said to have 105 pieces and will include three Imperial Snowtroopers and one Imperial Scout Trooper. There weren’t any LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs released this year and the last ones to be released were the Sith Troopers Battle Pack (75266) and Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) back in 2020.

**Note: Image above is not the set. It is the old Snowtrooper Battle Pack (8084) from 2010.

LEGO Monkie Kid Continuing Through 2023

A few days ago, LEGO Vice President of Design Matthew Ashton did a Q&A on Instagram and he listed off some themes he has been put in charge of for 2023 and some of them may surprise you. As VP of Design, he has his hands full for quite a few product lines for 2023 which include City, Friends, Creator, Classic, Technic, Speed Champions, Monkie Kid, Ninjago, Collectible Minifigures, and DOTS.

What’s most interesting is that Monkie Kid will continue releasing products for the next few years. Although Monkie Kid is a very unique theme that caters mostly to the Asian market, I’m not really sure if it’s that popular in the west. They’ve recently announced that the show will finally be available in the US through Amazon Kids+ but it seems quite late since a lot of people have been waiting over a year to watch it and the hype for the theme has substantially cooled down. Original IPs tend to do well with LEGO and they usually run for about two years but if Monkie Kid extends to 2023, that’ll be four years which makes it one of the longer running ones and that isn’t a bad thing.
